See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Laevatein are +Atk and -Res. A +Atk IV is the best option in maximizing Laevatein's damage output as her Spd is a bit low to rely on for follow-up attacks. Instead, she relies on high-damage single hits from her powerful weapon, the Laevatein, which works best with the said Atk boon. Her Res is low and it is of less importance to her, much like her older sister Laegjarn, so it is safe to take as a bane.

This build takes advantage of Laevatein's namesake weapon to maximize damage. Laevatein (the weapon) provides Atk/Def bonuses while Rouse Spd/Res 3 provides the remaining bonuses to ensure that all stats are boosted at the start of the turn. Distant Counter and Vantage work in tandem to ensure that Laevatein lands at least one big attack no matter what.

Laevatein received a refine and upgrading it with the special effect refine provides the best bonuses compared to the other refine options.
The special effect refine provides passive bonuses to Atk and Def and a visible bonus to Atk and Def at the start of every turn if she is within 2 spaces of an ally.
In addition to this, if she is within 2 spaces of her support partner, said unit also receives a visible bonus to Atk and Def at the start of the turn!

Laevatein

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Laevatein is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Laevatein's weapon, which shares the same name as her, is very similar to a blade tome as it takes the total bonuses on her and adds it to her damage. This means that any buff she receives contributes to her ability to dish-out damage. Make use of her native buff skills Atk/Def Link 3 and Odd Spd Wave 3 to boost her damage and pair her with allies that provides multiple buffs such as L!Azura.
Atk/Def Link 3 buffs Laevatein and any ally who uses a movement-assist skill or receives one from Laevatein by +6 Atk/Def. Since Laevatein has access to Swap, she can make use of this skill to push an ally deep into enemy danger zones while providing them with buffs.
These buffs also count for the effect of her weapon, the Laevatein. It makes for good combos if Laevatein is Shoved or Smited into enemy lines as she receives huge bonuses from it.
Laevatein's default C skill Odd Spd Wave will grant Laevatein and adjacent allies Spd +6 on odd-numbered turns. Since this C skill actually gives the bonus to Laevatein and not just her allies, her weapon, Laevatein, can its effects utilize and add to her damage output in said turns.
Laevatein's Spd sits at only 31 at Lv. 40. This Spd is not really low in general, but it is only enough for her to avoid some follow-up attacks and not necessarily allow her to score some of her own . It is not worth investing in her Spd, and we recommend just focusing on improving her Atk. You should also pay attention to high-Spd blue units that can make quick work of Laevatein.
Laevatein's Res only sits at 22 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take her out. Be mindful of Laevatein's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take her out especially very powerful ones such as Reinhardt and Ophelia.

Lucina can be used to inherit the skills Odd Spd Wave 3 and Atk/Def Link 3. However, Laevatein is a strong character that possesses a blade tome-like weapon. We recommend training and investing in her instead.
Laevatein is a Hero who can be pulled from any summon.
Note: Not currently a featured hero in any Summon events.
