Scathach is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he/she deals will be equivalent to his/her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Scathach Strengths

Spirited Sword+ grants Atk/Def bonuses and speeds up Special cooldown

Scathach comes with a new inheritable weapon in Spirited Sword+. Similar to other variants of this weapon (Spirited Spear+ and Spirited Axe+), this sword grants Atk/Def+4 and Special cooldown charge +1 per foe's attack as long as Scathach has a bonus applied to him.

Base kit has great synergy

Scathach's base kit has great synergy. Odd Def Wave 3 grants Scathach a visible buff, which fulfills the conditions of Atk/Def Ideal 3 and Spirited Sword+.

Scathach Weaknesses

No Prf weapon

Scathach lacks a unique weapon to make him truly stand out, especially with the large amount of strong sword infantry units in the game.

As is, most heroes can copy his build and fulfill the same role on the team.

Reliance on buffs

Scathach relies heavily on buffs to maximize his effectiveness in combat. Without them, Spirited Sword+ becomes a Silver Sword+ and Atk/Def Ideal 3 can potentially be shut down completely.

Additionally, his Odd Def Wave 3 is only active half the time. During even-numbered turns, this skill does nothing.

Don't sacrifice Scathach for Odd Def Wave 3. Doing this is a waste of resources with terrible returns.
