When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Harken are +Atk and -Res. Atk is a superboon and is applied twice, or even up to four times, with Troubling Blade's brave effect. Boosting Atk improves Harken's combat potential more than any other stat.
Harken's Res is below average and can be safely taken as a bane as it won't impact most of his matchups.
We recommend +Atk when merging Harken up to +10 to maximize his damage output.

Harken is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Harken's Troubling Blade attacks twice in combat and grants Harken Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5, 40% damage reduction on his foe's first attack, and Special cooldown charge +1 per attack.
Outside combat, Harken can move to the nearest space adjacent to any foe within 4 spaces of Harken, allowing him to approach enemy units other heroes otherwise couldn't.
Harken also has a very high base 46 Def, raised to 50 if a superboon is applied. This allows him to serve as a frontline unit to soak up physical damage from his foes.
Harken's Spd is middling at only base 32, which is not enough in today's metagame to avoid follow-up attacks from speedy units and some heavy nukers.
His Res is also subpar at only base 27, leaving him vulnerable to fast mages.
