Twilight Hollow Platinum Medal Walkthrough and Map (Collect Treasure!)

A guide to obtaining the platinum medal for the Collect Treasure! Mission: Twilight Hollow in Pikmin 3 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch. This guide will walk you through how to clear the mission and earn a platinum medal!

Twilight Hollow Tips and Strategy

Teamwork in the Water and on the Lily Pad is Important

In Twilight Hollow, tricks for using the lily pad or being in the water will be key. Remember that throwing allies from the lily pad is possible.

When you throw them, you are also moving, so if you make a mistake they will fall into the water. This will cause a lot of time to be lost, so be careful.

Where you Throw onto Ledges is Important

There are many fruits on ledges, the Insect Condo, Face Wrinkler, Cupid's Grenade, and Sunseed Berry on both sides of the starting area. You can use Winged Pikmin to retrieve several fruits. However, there are times where a normal throw will not reach the ledge, so paying attention to where you throw is important.

Twilight Hollow Platinum Medal Walkthrough

1: First Immediately Gather Two People and Ride the Lily Pad

Immediately retrieve Brittany and Charlie as Alph and ride on the lily pad in front of you. Throw Brittany onto the central island with the Winged Pikmin. Throw Charlie onto the west island with a dirt wall.

Ride on the lily pad as Alph until you reach the eastern area with Yellow Pikmin.

Alph

Get off the lily pad and pluck the Yellow Pikmin. Use them to destroy the southern electric gate. Pluck the Winged Pikmin that are located immediately after the electric gate and defeat the 2 Swooping Snitchbugs.

Retrieve even more Yellow Pikmin located to the south and destroy the Kingcap.

Brittany

Retrieve the nearby fruits with the Winged Pikmin and return to the starting area. Retrieve the Winged Pikmin at the starting area and uproot and collect the fruits.

After retrieving the surrounding fruits, use the Winged Pikmin to destroy the dirt wall in the south.

Charlie

Retrieve the fruits on the ledge with Winged Pikmin and use your remaining numbers to destroy the dirt wall. After destroying it, climb up the hill and retrieve the Yellow and Purple Pikmin. Destroy the electric gate below with the Yellow Pikmin.

2: Explore While Collecting Fruits

Alph

Retrieve the Purple Pikmin without waking the Bulborb, then perform a charge attack to defeat it. Use the Purple Pikmin to retrieve the fruit and the Bulborb and task the Winged Pikmin with recovering the Nuggets. Make the Yellow Pikmin retrieve the other fruits.

Brittany ＆ Charlie

After destroying the wall, defeat the Swooping Snitchbug and retrieve the fruit that is on the hill near the electric gate with Winged Pikmin. Then, reunite with Charlie who had destroyed the electric gate.

First, throw Pikmin at the bridge pieces and complete the bridge. Afterward, throw Charlie and many Pikmin up on the western ledge. Use the remaining Pikmin to retrieve the Nuggets.

Have Charlie defeat the Puffy Blowhog with Winged Pikmin. Afterward, use Purple Pikmin to retrieve the fruit and use the remaining Pikmin to retrieve the nuggets.

3: Afterward, Retrieve the Fruit on the Ledge

After completing the bridge, have Alph call back the Pikmin that retrieved fruits and reunite with Brittany and Charlie while returning to the starting area. On the southern ledge of the hill located to the west, throw Brittany and Purple Pikmin over to the ledge on the east. Switch to Brittany and recover all the fruit.

Finally, take many Winged Pikmin and ride the lily pad to collect the fruits located in the northern area of the map. Have the excess Pikmin work on retrieving Nuggets.
