Make sure your Pikmin don't fall over the ledge

Be careful of the ledge.jpg

There are many ledges in the Tundra, so its very easy for the Pikmin in your party to fall over one when you are walking. If this happens, it will be a huge pain to go back and get them, but given the time limit, it would be better to not have them fall off at all. Play it safe, and ensure they don't fall over when you're walking in areas with ledges.

Recover the fruit in hard to reach places

There are a few pieces of fruit in rather high spots. For the small island located in the water, you'll have to enter the water with Blue Pikmin and throw them at the fruit to recover it. Near the start of the stage, there is also a small fruit on top of the snowman that is on a hill. You'll have to throw Yellow Pikmin at it, as they can be tossed higher than other types of Pikmin.

Split up to increase efficiency

Tundra Map.jpg

There are a lot of fruit and nuggets to collect in this area, so you'll have to split up to make the most of your time. While one leader's Pikmin are dispatched with carrying fruit or breaking down a wall, etc., swap leaders and cover more ground when exploring.

Know what each Pikmin type is good for

Red Pikmin have the highest DPA, so they are generally the best at fighting. In addition, they are immune to fire, so enemies like the Fiery Blowhog don't really phase them. Blue Pikmin can move and battle underwater, so naturally, you should take them with you to explore underwater areas.

Yellow Pikmin are immune to electricity, are fast at digging, and can be thrown higher than other Pikmin, When you need to recover fruit from a high spot, swap to your Yellow Pikmin!
