The Rustyard Tips and Strategy
Increase Population by Defeating Enemies
Since this mission initially contains a small amount of Pikmin, defeat enemies and return them to the Onion to strengthen your forces. Do it as fast as possible as you only have six minutes in this mission.
Cripple the Crushblat with Rock Pikmin
The Calcified Crushblat is difficult to take down by normal means. Destroy its shell with your Rock Pikmin before going all out on its main body.
The Rustyard Platinum Medal Walkthrough
1: Collect Pikmin
Alph
Pluck the Rock Pikmin and defeat the Skutterchucks north. Take their corpses to the Onion and pluck more Rock Pikmin near the cone.
Brittany
Pluck the Blue Pikmin, head east, then take the Dwarf Orange Bulborb to the Onion. Continue south and pluck more Blue Pikmin.
2: Defeat Enemies and Populate
Alph
Take the Dwarf Orange Bulborb on your right back to the Onion. Return to the Onion as well to pluck the new Pikmin.
Harvest the Dwarf Orange Bulborb to your right as well and start breaking the glass wall. Go up to the northeastern area and defeat the Medusal Slurkers. Go back to the Onion again.
Brittany
Return near the river and defeat the Shearwigs. Return to the Onion with their corpses.
Throw ten Blue Pikmin near the water and go down the river with them to defeat the Skeeterskates.
3: Taking Down the Strong Enemies
Brittany
Find the Toady Bloyster on the western side of the river and take it out.
Alph
Defeat the Peckish Aristocrab with your Rock Pikmin then head to Brittany's starting point to gather the other Blue Pikmin.
Start walking towards the southwestern area while dealing with the Skutterchucks and take down the Calcified Crushblat at the end.
