You'll have to take out several enemies in this map, so its a good idea to increase your Pikmin right away. Start by recovering all of the pellets found nearby the onion (making sure to get pellets with Pikmin of the same color).
In this mission, there are several things that need to be done underwater, and that means Blue Pikmin are the only ones right for the job. Prioritize increasing the amount of Blue Pikmin you have over other types, recovering enemy remains if necessary.
Pikmin Types | How to Get More Pikmin
In the Inside Forest mission, there are both enemies, fruits, and nuggets found underwater. Blue Pikmn are the only Pikmin who can enter the water without drowning, so leave it to them. Red Pikmin will die if they enter the water, so use them mainly for fighting enemies or moving above ground objects.
Blue Pikmin Abilities and Where to Find
There are a few enemies that drop fruit when defeated, so its cruicial you battle with them. This includes both underwater and land creatures. Don't walk past those enemies! Take each one of them out quickly.
It's a good idea to split up your leaders in the Inside Forest mission, with one taking Red Pikmin, and another doing underwater tasks with the Blue Pikmin.
There are a lot of enemies in this level, and they can cause a problem when your Pikmin are moving fruit or other items. It's a good idea to take them all out ahead of time to make the mission easier.
The Orange Bulborb in the picture is quite annoying, so after taking out the enemies nearby, run away if it wakes up. Then come back after it is asleep and charge it from behind. Collect the fruit that it and the other enemies here dropped.
