Shaded Garden Platinum Medal Walkthrough (Collect Treasure!)

A guide to obtaining the platinum medal for the Collect Treasure! Mission: Shaded Garden in Pikmin 3 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch. This guide will walk you through how to clear the mission and earn a platinum medal!

Shaded Garden Tips and Strategy

Blue Pikmin are Key in the Northern Area

Blue Pikmin are necessary for completing the water area in the north. Leave the retrieval of all the Nuggets and Fruits located in the northern area to the Blue Pikmin.

Cooperation with Two Leaders is Needed

Just like other missions, there are areas that are only accessible via 2 people. Efficiently splitting up and then reuniting is key to obtaining high points.

Shaded Garden Platinum Medal Walkthrough

1：First Split into 3 Groups and Explore

Alph

First head to the south where the Rock Pikmin are located using the Go Here function. After plucking them, defeat the 4 Dwarf Bulborbs and break the crystal. Throw Brittany onto the step with the White Pikmin and use the Rock Pikmin to transport the Nuggets.

Brittany

First, pluck the Blue Pikmin with Charlie. After that, throw Charlie to where the White Pikmin are located in the east. Use the Go Here function to go until the rock wall in the north.

After you reach there, pluck Blue Pikmin while destroying the dirt wall. There will be two areas with dirt walls to destroy.

Charlie

After plucking the White Pikmin, retrieve the nearby fruit. Use the remaining White Pikmin and throw them at the Nuggets. Afterward, use the Go Here function to head south where there are White Pikmin near Brittany. Use a leader to throw onto the step and retrieve the White Pikmin.

2：Exploring the North and the West Simultaneously

Alph

Return to the starting area and have the White Pikmin retrieve the nearby Cupid's Grenades and Sunseed Berry. After that, have the Rock Pikmin who transported the Nuggets return and begin exploring the western area. Work efficiently by retrieving the Nuggets while breaking the crystal.

Brittany

After destroying the dirt wall, pluck the Blue Pikmin and retrieve all the fruits along the road on the hill. After that, use the excess Blue Pikmin and begin retrieving the Nuggets and Fruits.

Charlie

After retrieving the White Pikmin, defeat the Dwarf Bulborb with Rock Pikmin and retrieve all the fruit trapped in the crystal. Head to where the White Pikmin who retrieved the Nuggets are and reunite. Then, head back to the starting area and take the nearby Pikmin in order to head to the northern area for support.

3：Finish Up by Retrieving the Nuggets and Remaining Fruit

Have Charlie retrieve the Insect Condo, Face Wrinkler, and other fruits in the water with Blue Pikmin and also reunite with Alph and help with retrieving the Nuggets.

Alph will be continuing to explore the western area, but there will be little time to defeat the Bulborb in the northeast area. After taking it down, we recommend using the faster White Pikmin to retrieve it.
