Spring Shizu's skillset presents several challenges for players. Camellia Under the Moon provides a substantial and permanent ATK boost based on her DEF, making her damage output surprisingly high. Combined with the multi-hit nature of her damaging skills, even with random targeting, she can quickly overwhelm weaker or less durable teams. My Desire to Bloom's counter reduction is a niche but potent threat, especially against counter-heavy compositions.

Issen Shirohagoromo can be unlocked immediately, providing a decent AoE damage option early on when enemy waves are weaker. The SPD debuff is also helpful for early game progression. While it uses a percentage of her HP, the damage is consistent and predictable. This skill also hits multiple targets, making it great for clearing battles and slowing down enemies.
However, the 20% HP cost is a significant drawback. This likely requires substantial investment in healing or survivability to keep her alive. While AoE is good, random targeting can be inefficient. It might focus on damaging weaker enemies while stronger ones remain untargeted.
On the other hand, Tamamizu-Wari boasts high damage percentages, especially at higher levels, making it excellent for focusing on priority targets or bosses.
The level 4 upgrade provides a significant damage boost against enemies with higher HP than Spring Shizu.
However, while it hits multiple targets, it's still limited and random. Like Issen Shirohagoromo, it also has an HP cost that requires investment in healing or survivability.

Camellia Under the Moon provides a substantial and permanent ATK increase based on DEF. This ATK boost is applied at the start of battle and cannot be dispelled. There is also [Multi-Barrier], which can significantly boost survivability, albeit just 1 turn.
However, this passive skill doesn't have any direct damage. This skill only buffs ATK and provides a barrier.
My Desire to Bloom focuses damage on the enemy with the highest Counter and reduces the Counter of the said enemy. However, the skill only activates at the start of Spring Shizu's action phase and has a 4-turn cooldown.

While a buffer, Primavera is a character that deals with the enemy in front of her. To counter Spring Shizu, she should be speed-tuned to inflict [Fainted] and boost ATK and SPD. She can also decrease the enemy team's DEF, which can also hinder Spring Shizu, whose attacks and passives rely on DEF.

Eir can consistently inflict [Sleep] on Spring Shizu. Her skill, "Silver Weaver" deals significant damage to sleeping enemies, and "Hunt Integrity" provides a substantial ATK and SPD boost when enemies are inflicted with [Sleep]. The skill "Tranquilizing Dart" target the enemy in front and one adjacent enemy. She can be positioned in front of Spring Shizu and another character. She can be more effective if she is speed-tuned to be faster than Spring Shizu.

Spring Shizu can counter herself if she is built with higher rarity, better equipment, and better rune optimization. A more built Spring Shizu will have significantly higher base stats, directly translating into higher damage output, more survivability, and stronger [Multi-Barrier]. Similarly, the permanent ATK boost from "Camellia Under the Moon" scales with Shizu's DEF. A more-built Shizu will, therefore, receive a more considerable ATK boost.

Primavera aims to outspeed Spring Shizu and inflict [Fainted] with Transcendent Melody. This is the highest priority as it can completely disrupt Spring Shizu's opening burst. Primavera and Rusalka apply damage reduction, [Buff Immunity], and CRIT hit reduction on Spring Shizu, weakening her damage output. Aine contributes further to this by reducing CRIT chance. Eir can also inflict [Sleep] and reduce CRIT RES with her Tranquilizing Dart.
Eir and Meria, with the latter's stacked [Growth Factor], can unleash their high-damage skills to capitalize on Shizu's self-damage and quickly eliminate her, especially if she is debuffed. The key here is that Primavera should be speed-tuned, and Meria should have her Unique Weapon to increase her team's SPD.

Festive Natasha, despite having a massive damage potential and team-wide buffs beneficial to the team, becomes burdened with the self-inflicting debuff, [Aggravation], which increases the continuous damage she takes. It makes her vulnerable to Spring Shizu's attacks. This also applies to characters with self-damaging mechanics unless they are part of a team that can protect them while they do burst damage.

Characters who have a high Counter stat can be blocked by Spring Shizu's counter-reduction skill. If they have a lower DEF than Spring Shizu, the counter reduction will be 20-40%, lowering the damage they can cause. While not all characters with Counter can be affected by Spring Shizu's passive skill (like Amour), you should proceed with caution if you still want to use them.
Tips for Beating [Snow Flower's Vow] Shizu
Employ Debuffers or Cleansers
For the SPD debuff and damage amplification/Counter reduction, use characters who have crowd control, [Debuff Immunity], or any skill that can dispel will be valuable. This will mitigate the effects that will be inflicted on the team.
Out-Scaling Spring Shizu's Team
Sometimes, the most effective Counter is simply out-scaling the enemy. Increase your damage and survivability faster than Shizu's power increases.
Focus Fire Spring Shizu
Eliminating Spring Shizu immediately from the match prevents her from using her skills, such as ATK buff and SPD debuff.
