Should You Pull for Artoria?
Pull For Her If You Have a Morgana
Artoria's skill set matches Morgana's since she gets an ATK boost whenever she or an ally damages themselves. This play style boosts Artoria and Morgana ATK, increasing their battle potency. Artoria also has an anti-Emerald soul skill, which has a 70% chance to inflict [Fainted] on that Emerald soul character for one turn.
Try to Get Multiple Copies
Get multiple copies of her to reach SR+. Making her reach SR+ will increase the multiplier of her active skill, Caliburne's Kindling. However, if you want to improve her durability with a [Multi-Barrier], you should increase her rarity to LR.
Self-Damaging Mechanic
Every time she or her allies damage themselves (when she uses her skills), she gets a boost to her ATK. This boost stacks up to 4 times, making her stronger. If you ever use characters with the same self-damaging mechanic, adding Artoria to your team would be best to have additional damage from ATK boost.
Pull For Arcana
Artoria belongs to an Arcana group with Morgana called Rigel's Trial. This Arcana increases Artoria and Morgana's ATK and HP. If you awaken Morgana and Artoria to LR, this effect can apply to all characters.
Synergy with Crimson Soul Characters
Holy Sword's Scabbard skill increases the ATK of the ally, with the lowest SPD other than Artoria, by 20% of Artoria's ATK for one turn. The Unique weapon, Holy Sword's Caladbolg, increases the target's SPD by 2 turns if the target is a Crimson Soul ally. This can be beneficial for Amour or Morgana.
Pull If You Like Her Story
Artoria is tasked by the angel lord Samyaza to fight demons threatening the world. She is chosen to wield the holy sword Caladbolg after completing seven trials. While her companions treat the mission like a vacation, Artoria is serious and focused on following the rules. She struggles with the concept of bonds being the source of strength, feeling like an outsider.
When Not To Pull For Artoria
If You Are a Beginner
You should focus on getting characters that can help you with your Main Quest. However, if you like Artoria's overall skill set and aesthetics, feel free to pull for her.
Self-Damage Mechanic
Artoria's self-damage mechanic is risky. Hurting herself with every attack makes her more vulnerable. You will need good healing or shielding to keep her alive. If you don't like this kind of play style, we discourage pulling for her.
