Sophia is a pseudo-executioner who has anti-debuff capabilities and minimal defensive capabilities. There's a reason she does not see as much use as other attackers, however, since her defensive options are rather weak and she already has a niche capability.

She becomes a lot more threatening once she gets her Unique Weapon, Vermillion Virtue, which gives her a 2-turn 55% Counter buff every four turns, as well as the ability to inflict ATK debuffs on her enemies.

Sophia Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths Weaknesses
• Can act as an executioner in the enemy team; she'll wear you down with her Counter, before taking you down with her first skill.
• Can decrease the number of turns she'll have a debuff.
• Can heal her allies with her second skill. 		• Needs to focus on enemies with low HP. You can field tankier units to weather her attacks.
• Does not outright cleanse debuffs from herself, so she can still be debuffed.
• Needs extra protection to stay alive.

Level 2 (Unlocks by level 81)
The number of physical attacks becomes 5.
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 161)
The amount her ATK increases by becomes 30%.

Sophia deals 6 physical attacks equal to 360% of her ATK to enemies at random.
Level 2 (Unlocks by level 21)
Additionally, after attacking, if her remaining HP percentage is below 60%, restores HP equal to 20% of this skill’s total damage to all allies.
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 101)
The number of physical attacks becomes 7.
Level 4 (Unlocks by level 181)
The amount a target’s HP is restored by becomes 35% of this skill’s total damage.

Sophia's first active skill has her do attacks on the enemy with the lowest HP remaining, while her second active skill heals all of her allies depending on how much damage she has dealt.

When Sophia is inflicted with a debuff, this skill decreases the number of turns of all debuffs she is afflicted with by 2. This skill activates 1 time every 4 turns.
Level 2 (Unlocks by level 121)
When she is inflicted with a debuff, additionally decreases the chance to inflict a debuff of the enemy that inflicted her by 20% for 1 turn.
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 201)
The decrease in the target’s chance to inflict a debuff becomes 50%.

Increases Sophia's max HP by 15% (cannot be dispelled).
Level 2 (Unlocks by level 141)
Additionally increases her chance to resist a critical hit by 15% (cannot be dispelled).
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 221)
The increases in her max HP and chance to resist a critical hit each become 30%.

Sophia's passives meanwhile protect her from debuffs by decreasing the turns of all the debuffs she's been hit with by 2. That's on top of a Debuff ACC debuff she'll inflict on anyone who debuffs her while she already has one debuff. She also gets CRIT RES and Max HP buffs.

Sophia can rely on Counter all she wants, but Nina will be able to steal her buff and use it for her own. There is also a good chance that buff dispellers will be able to take out her Counter buff as well.

Tropon also has a chance to steal Sophia's Counter buff if she ends up receiving a Critical Hit from her.

Nina steals Sophia's counter, while Fia and Sivi do damage to the rest of her party. You can tune the speed of this party specifically so that Fia's the slowest but will still move before the enemy team (so she can get the ATK buffs from Sivi).

What makes Sophia potentially deadly is how she can make your main attackers defeat themselves with her Counter stat. So don't put any attackers in your party without at least one buff dispeller.

Tips for Beating Sophia

Dispel Her Counter Buff

The biggest threat from Sophia is the Counter buff she gets from her Unique Weapon, so make sure to steal/dispel it first. Once that's done, she should be easy enough to take out.

Bring Along Tanky Units

If need be, consider bringing along units with multi-barriers DEF buffs, or even healers to keep your witches from succumbing to Sophia's attacks.
