Should You Pull for [Little Big Adventure] Nina?
Pull If You Want A Defensive Support Unit
This version of Nina is a very helpful defensive support unit to have on your team, capable of increasing your entire team's DEF by at least 10%, and more for every crit her Lost Child’s Thunder skill deals. She has two other abilities that cleanse multiple allies of debuffs, making her a powerful counter to debuffers. Finally, she grants shields to her ally (or her 2 allies if leveled up) with the highest ATK, helping them stay in the fight longer while continuing to deal damage.
While her defensive impact is impeccable, her offensive power is no joke either. She deals decent damage with her attacks, while further enabling her carries by buffing their ATK.
She Works Well Even at One Copy
Summer Nina's defensive capabilities and buffs are already pretty good at base, which will make her a useful pickup even with just one copy, as you can use the level link feature to go over her maximum level for base SR rarity witches.
Naturally, she's better when awakened multiple times. Focus on getting her exclusive weapon, as this enables her her defensive prowess to grow even stronger, raising her entire team's DEF by up to 60%, as well as receive 40% less damage when her shield is up. If you think Summer Nina would fit well in your team, try to get multiple copies, but don't feel too bad if you can't get the amount of copies you want, as she'll still be very useful even at just her base rarity.
Pull If You're Running A Crit-Based Team
Summer Nina's true strength is displayed when she deals lots of critical strikes, as these will further increase her entire team's DEF. If things go her way, she can make her whole squad much more difficult to take out. If you're running a crit-based team with Merlyn, Kaguya, or both, Summer Nina will fit right in to serve as your defensive anchor while dealing big crit damage.
Pull If You Like Her Story
Summer Nina's storyline revolves around her getting lost again, but this time in an illusion where she plays with numerous "fluffy and white" versions of the Duke of Fran tirelessly. In the end, Nina returns to the Duke's estate and seems to have gotten rid of the illusion.
When Not To Pull For [Little Big Adventure] Nina
If You Already Have Good Defensive Buffers
Summer Nina is undoubtedly a very good defensive buffer, and is very often well worth the diamonds. However, if you've already invested heavily in powerful units that serve a similar role, like Yuni or Fortina, you may be better off sticking with them and saving your diamonds for a witch that your team needs more.
If You Don't Have Crit-Enhancing Characters
Without any crit-enhancing witches on your team, you may never be able to use Nina's DEF buffs at its maximum potential of 60%. However, do note that while Nina will not be at her best without landing crits, she'll still provide excellent value in enabling and protecting your carry while cleansing her allies of debuffs.
