How to Play Tides of War

Challenge Various Combat Stages

Tides of War is a combat event where you must defeat waves of enemies with the help of special buffs. There are six stages in total that can be challenged, and each stage unlocks per day!

Choose Grit Phase Support Functions

Before you start a challenge, pick the Support Functions you want to use for Grit Phase 2 and 3. These are buffs that will activate whenever you reach its designated Grit Phase.

Determine team compositions that will work best with your chosen Support Functions to get the upper hand in battle!

Raise Grit Value to Activate Buffs

As you fight and take down enemies, you will accumulate Grit Value. This is needed to reach higher Grit Phases, which will activate your Support Functions to help make the fight easier!

Each stage has a specific action that grants higher amounts of Grit Value when triggered. Examples include defeating certain enemies or dealing specific types of DMG. You can see which actions give extra Grit Value in the stage details.

Maintain Your Attack Streak in Grit Phase 4

Reaching Grit Phase 4 activates an even stronger Support Function, but it'll end within a number of action values and bring you back to Phase 3.

However, you can collect stacks of Waven Attack during Phase 4 every time you attack enemies. This restores a certain amount of Grit Value based your stacks, which makes it easier to reach Grit Phase 4 again!

Clear Stage Objectives for Rewards

Your goal is to defeat 3 waves of Boss enemies within 6 cycles with the help of your chosen Support Functions. Clearing a stage with cycles remaining will further increase your stage grade and earn you more rewards!
