Find a Way to Lucanis' Cell

Break the First Lock

Follow the quest marker to explore the Ossuary inside Lucanis' mind. Destroy the red crystal sealing the door to proceed.

Break the Second Lock

Enter the door and speak to Caterina's spirit. Shatter the crystal after the conversation to proceed.

Break the Third Lock

Talk to Harding at the center of the area to summon the third lock. Hit the third crystal in place of Harding to unseal the door.

Break the Fourth Lock

Speak to Neve and break the crystal after the conversation. Head up the stairs to locate the final lock.

Break the Final Lock

Proceed towards Illario's echo and interact with him to initiate a dialogue. Destroy the seal to enter Lucanis' cell.

Punish Illario or Save Caterina

A dialogue with Lucanis will initiate upon entering his cell. A choice will appear where players may choose to encourage Lucanis with either punishing Illario or saving Caterina.

Either choice will not have an impact on the ending or Lucanis' development as Hero of the Veilguard. Feel free to choose which motive you'd like Lucanis to focus on.

Exit the Mindscape

Upon exiting the mindscape, Teia and Viago will ask about Rook and Lucanis' wellbeing. Selecting "We're both just fine" allows Rook to flirt with Lucanis, in the assumption that they do not have a romance partner yet.

Lucanis Commitment Conversation

After the quest, speak to Lucanis in the Lighthouse to trigger a dialogue. If the players do not have a selected romance partner yet, they are able to commit to Lucanis by selecting the "You're sweet, you know." option. Doing so will lock out Rook from other romance options, and all flirting options not directed at Lucanis will be removed for the rest of the playthrough.
