Description | ||
When the gods use blighted roots to block off eluvians in the Crossroads, the team must defeat their champions to break the spell. |
Quest Objectives |
---|
|
To begin this quest, interact with the door with roots in the Converged City. A prompt will appear, officially marking the beginning of the quest.
Defeat Quyn The Sparkwielder to obtain the champion's essence needed to remove the roots in the Gate of the Lost Ages. Quyn has telegraphed attacks with markers that can be easily avoided.
Defeating Quyn will provide Rook with the champion's essence, which can be used to open the blocked gate in the converged city, making it accessible.
Use the champion's essence on the roots in the Converged City to open the Gate of the Lost Ages. This will open the courtyard of the converged city, which is full of enemies.
Defeat the Venatori in the courtyard to advance. There are quite a couple of them, but as long as Rook is sufficiently built up, they won't take too long to deal with.
Crystal | Location |
---|---|
1 | Go west and climb the ledges to get to this area. Destroying the two red crystals will cause enemies to spawn below, so be prepared to deal with them. |
2 | The third red crystal can be seen in the floating construct near the center. Destroy it with a ranged attack. |
3 | After defeating the enemies that spawned when destroying the first crystal, go back to the ledge where the first crystal was. Use Spite's Reach on the Veil instability to create a bridge to get to the fourth crystal. |
4 | The fifth crystal is in the floating construct that can be seen from the ledge where the third crystal was. Like the third crystal, use a ranged attack to destroy it. |
5 | On the same ledge, head towards the edge and use Spite's reach again on the Veil Instability to create another path leading to the two red crystals. |
6 | After destroying the sixth and seventh crystals, look back towards the construct where the eighth crystal can be found. This will spawn enemies, so be prepared to deal with them. |
7 | Destroy the last crystal underneath the construct. Be prepared to face the enemy that will spawn once the crystal is destroyed. |
Destroy all the red crystals in this order and defeat the Smoldering Blood Forge that spawns when all the crystals are destroyed.
After destroying all the crystals, the statue near the central construct can now be interacted with. Activate the statue to open the gate and proceed to the next area.
Be prepared to face many enemies in the new unlocked section. Some sections will be blocked by barriers that can be unlocked later.
For now, open double doors after dispatching the nearby enemies.
Crystal | Location |
---|---|
1 |
Located in the newly unlocked area to the east. |
2 |
Destroying the first crystal will remove the barrier and lower the gates blocking the second crystal.
|
3 |
Located to the west, directly opposite the first and second crystal. Makes the Fen'Harel altar behind it accessible.
|
4 |
Found underneath a rock formation, just above the first siphon crystal. |
5 |
Found underneath a rock formation, directly above the Fen'Harel altar.
|
6 |
Can be found near the entrance to this area. Destroying the barrier will make the ladder behind it accessible.
|
Similar to the red crystals in the courtyard area, this room contains red siphon crystals that need to be destroyed in a certain order. After destroying all 6 crystals, climb up the ladder to reach the final area.
After climbing up the ladder behind the barrier, several Magisters will spawn. A relatively trivial fight, dispatch them immediately and claim the rewards located near the pillar.

In the "destroy the red siphon crystals" thing, the first one isn't there for me. And the gate won't come down
