Are they meta defining?

Legendary Nanna is the second Legendary that has a built-in Duel effect for Arena scoring as well as a blessing stat boost. Nanna in particular grants HP+3 and Res+4 while scoring as a 190 BST unit.

Legendary Nanna can pierce through damage reduction effects with her signature weapon Lands Sword. Her signature B skill Hoðr's Zeal grants bonus damage, Canto, and Desperation.

These traits make her a powerful Legendary, but we believe Legendary Claude is a better Earth Legendary. Nanna is still powerful, however, and is worth preparing for.

As for the new children, Young Ike is the best of the bunch with his Sturdy War Sword pre-charging his Specials and granting Null Follow-Up and damage reduction.

He also scores as a 195 BST unit with his Duel effect, and his Duo Skill applies Atk/Spd debuffs, Guard, and double Pulse Smoke to a wide range of foes.

With his bonus season in Arena coming up, expect to see him often.

It is currently Earth Season month, and that means the return of Legendary Claude in Arena.

Legendary Nanna is also worth preparing for as a strong Earth Legendary and a bonus unit.

Young Ike scoring as a 195 BST unit and being a strong unit himself is also worth preparing for. Expect whales to field +10 versions of Young Ike.

Finally, Young Boyd is a strong free unit with an exclusive weapon. He should be the bonus unit of choice for F2P and light spending players.

How to Counter

Legendary Claude's Fallen Star triggers after combat. This skill is what makes Legendary Claude a huge nuisance on the battlefield.

To counter this, do not let Claude engage in combat, and attack him during player phase to bypass his damage reduction.

Legendary Nanna is dealt with in a similar fashion. She fully utilizes her kit when she is initiating combat.

Instead, bait her in and attack her during player phase to take advantage of her subpar bulk.

Young Ike is a menace, but he too has his weaknesses. He has below average Res, and his damage reduction only applies on the first hit.

You can choose to player phase him with strong blue magic damage users, or bait him with tank units while ensuring he is far away from his allies to deactivate Sturdy War Sword.

Finally, Young Boyd can be dealt with in a similar fashion as other axe infantry users like Ninja Hana, Ninja Shamir, and Gonzalez.

Additionally, his Large War Axe is considerably weaker during even-numbered turns. Try to fight him only during said turns.

Aether Raids

Hex Trap and False Hex Trap

Hex Trap Fire Emblem Heroes FEH False Hex Trap Fire Emblem Heroes FEH

IS has introduced a new Trap structure called Hex Trap. This trap ends the action of any unit who steps on it, whether they move themselves or are assisted to it through skills like Smite, as long as they have HP ≤ 55 (at Hex Trap's current maximum level).

More importantly, magic traps such as Hex Trap are not affected by Disarm Trap 3.

This is an attempt by IS to nerf Disarm Trap, and Yuri as a consequence of that.

Yuri has been a very common unit in Aether Raids offense teams, with his 3 movement, Foul Play, Canto, and access to both Lethality and Disarm Trap 3 rendering all non-cavline defenses weak to Yuri's initiation.

However, this attempt currently falls flat because Hex Trap's maximum level is 4, which only triggers on foes with HP ≤ 55. Yuri has 40 Base HP, and the standard three Mythic allies will raise his HP to 55. All it takes is one infantry dragonflower to completely ignore Hex Trap.

Higher levels of Hex Trap should be available in the future, and this is when Yuri will be fully nerfed in Aether Raids.

One positive thing to take from the introduction of Hex Trap is that players are no longer forced to deploy a levelled Bolt Trap. High level Bolt Traps are more of a liability than they are an asset to protect the defense team. Having an alternative trap to place instead of Bolt Traps is a boon to defense maps.

Meta-Defining Units

Corrin (F) - Nightfall Ninja Act IconNinja Corrin (F)
[9.9/10]
Thórr - War God IconThórr
[9.5/10]
Plumeria - Lewd Dream IconPlumeria
[9.0/10]

With this month not having a new Mythic hero, the Aether Raids metagame should not change hero-wise.

Ninja Corrin (F) won the Voting Gauntlet for A Hero Rises 2022, and was given away to all players for free.

She is a very powerful unit capable of clearing maps with her nuking prowess and her Duo skill granting an additional action.

She is also abundant in Aether Raids defense teams with her cavalry movement, nuking prowess, and ability to turn on Duo's Hindrance.

Thórr and Plumeria remain common units in offense teams due to their presence on the A Hero Rises 2022 banner as well as the most recent Hero Fest banner respectively.

Because of this, the scoring bar for Astra/Anima season has been inflated and reaching the highest ranks became more difficult than it once was.
