How to Clear Fading into the Shadows

Play the melody for Noivern

After first entering the ruins, play the melody at the Noivern there to make it move out of the way.

Throw a fluffruit to the side

After Noivern leaves, throw a fluffruit over to the side, which will cause Salandit to appear.

Snap a photo of Umbreon

After a moment, Salandit will call Umbreon over. Get a photo of Umbreon when it comes out and show it to the professor to complete the request.
