Self-Damage Mechanic for SPD Debuff and Higher Damage Multiplier

Issen Shirohagoromo

Tamamizu-Wari

Issen Shirohagoromo offers significant damage output through multiple attacks. The consistent chance to reduce enemy speed is a valuable asset, potentially disrupting enemy turnover and giving Spring Shizu's team an advantage. This skill provides immediate access to a decent damage skill with a useful debuff.

However, a significant drawback is her self-damage mechanic with a 20% current HP cost. This limits her survivability, especially at lower levels when her HP pool is smaller. She would need an ally with [Shield] or [Multi-Barrier] to use this debuff and stay in battle longer.

Tamamizu-Wari, on the other hand, has a very high damage multiplier, especially at higher levels and against enemies with higher HP than Spring Shizu. This skill upgrades to hit more enemies, from 2 to 3. The level 4 upgrade boosts massive damage against enemies with more HP than Spring Shizu. She can be a "nuke" against tankier opponents.

However, just like Issen Shirohagoromo, this skill costs 20% of her current HP. The most powerful aspect of this skill, the conditional damage boost, doesn't unlock until level 181.

Permanent ATK Boost Based off of DEF and [Multi-Barrier]

Camellia Under the Moon

Camellia Under the Moon provides a significant and permanent ATK boost based on Spring Shizu's base DEF. This skill can't be dispelled and can be a reliable skill to use to increase damage. It also offers a [Multi-Barrier] at level 201, which provides a little boost for survivability. However, this skill doesn't have any direct damage itself. It is purely a buff, and her [Multi-Barrier] only absorbs one hit.

Counter Reduction Based off of DEF

My Desire to Bloom

My Desire to Bloom has a 10% damage increase to the enemy with the highest Counter. This is useful in encountering enemieswith mechanics tied to their Counter (like Fia or Ophelia) or when trying to eliminate a specific target quickly. This skill can also reduce an enemy's Counter, disrupt enemy strategies, and prevent powerful attacks or buffs. This conditional counter reduction incentivizes building DEF on Spring Shizu, which can synergize well with Camellia Under the Moon skill.

However, since the counter reduction is conditional, it will depend on Spring Shizu having a higher DEF than the targets. This means it might not be effective against high DEF enemies or in situations where Spring Shizu isn't built with high DEF. There are also very few characters who rely on Counter so it may not be a skill that will be useful in a lot of scenario.

Prioritize HP, ATK, SPD and DEF Runes

Maximizing her damage output is important given her high-damage skills. ATK and CRIT runes ensure her attacks are effective as possible. You can also add in DEF runes since that's where her passive skills were based off. To ensure that she can land these hits, make sure that you also add in SPD runes to speedtune her.

HP and STA runes increases Spring Shizu's HP which ensures that she can sustain her self-inflicted damage and stay in the fight longer.

This team revolves around a few key elements: For buffing, Winter Soltina should prioritize buffing Spring Shizu with "Snow Fairy" to increase her ATK and hit chance, while Dian's evasion buff should be active on Spring Shizu, as the team's highest ATK unit. Debuffing and control are handled by Spring Shizu's SPD debuff and Artie's M.DEF and damage increase debuff, which should be applied to as many enemies as possible.They also in charge of damage output, with Spring Shizu with single-targeting and AoE for Artie. the Counter reduction is situational, and Soltina's potential stuns with "Ice Cascade" can stategically control the enemies. Dian contributes consistent AoE damage and [Bleed]. Finally, Priscilla provides healing and debuff cleaning.

This team leans towards burst damage strategy with Spring Shizu, Morgana and Artoria all capable to quickly eliminate priority targets. Primavera and Meria provides team-wide SPD buffs, while Artoria can offer a single-target ATK boost. Debuffing is a strong suit, which Shizu's SPD debuff, Morgana's healing reduction, Artoria's [Faint] and Primavera's potent [Buff Immunity] and DEF debuff all contributing to disrupting and weakening the enemy. Survivability is addressed through [Multi-Barrier] and [Shield]. This team needed to make sure that Spring Shizu would be fast enough to do the first move so that her SPD debuff will take effect. If you do not have Meria or Primavera, you can speedtune Spring Shizu to have the same effect.

Level 1 (Unlocks by default) Shizu’s movements make her appear to be dancing gracefully in the air, but a swing of her blade unveils the devastating power she wields, cutting down many a foe in the blink of an eye. Deals damage equal to 20% of her current HP to herself, and deals 6 physical attacks equal to 220% of her ATK to enemies at random. This skill has a 70% chance to decrease all targets’ SPD by 15% for 2 turns. Level 2 (Unlocks by level 81) The amount all targets’ SPD decreases by becomes 30%. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 161) The physical attacks’ damage becomes equal to 520% of her ATK.

Level 1 (Unlocks by level 11) With blade in hand, Shizu’s elegant movements paint a picture of a waterfall’s gentle flow. However, just as steady drops wear away the stone, her blade wields the power to cut through even the hardest of boulders. Deals damage equal to 20% of her current HP to herself, and deals 1 physical attack equal to 620% of her ATK to 2 random enemies. Level 2 (Unlocks by level 21) The targets of this skill become 3 random enemies. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 101) The physical attack’s damage becomes equal to 1120% of her ATK. Level 4 (Unlocks by level 181) Additionally, before dealing the physical attack, if a target’s current HP is higher than Shizu’s current HP, the physical attack’s damage to that target becomes equal to 1680% of Shizu’s ATK.

Level 1 (Unlocks by level 41) Shizu stands still, like the moonlight that illuminates the night sky. She calms her breath, quiets her heart...then focuses her power into a single point. At the start of the battle, this skill increases Shizu’s ATK by an amount equal to 100% of her DEF before any stat increases or decreases were applied to it (cannot be dispelled). Level 2 (Unlocks by level 121) The amount her ATK increases by becomes equal to 200% of her DEF before any stat increases or decreases were applied to it. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 201) Additionally, at the start of the battle, grants 1 layer of ［Multi-Barrier］ to Shizu (cannot be dispelled). If she takes damage equal to 20% or higher of her max HP, 1 barrier layer is depleted to nullify the damage.

Level 1 (Unlocks by level 61) The samurai understands that it is fine to stand for oneself, and not for others. She wields her blade, not out of a desire to seek worth or purpose in the eyes of others, but out of her own will. At the start of Shizu’s action phase, this skill increases the damage the enemy with the highest Counter takes by 10% for 1 turn. If the target’s DEF is lower than Shizu’s DEF, this skill also decreases the target’s Counter by 20%. These 2 effects are treated as 1 debuff. This skill will not activate again until 4 action phases have ended since its previous activation. Level 2 (Unlocks by level 141) The number of turns of this skill’s debuff becomes 2. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 221) The amount the target’s Counter decreases by becomes 40%.

Level 2 (Unlocks at UR rarity) Strengthens Issen Shirohagoromo. The number of physical attacks becomes 8. Level 3 (Unlocks at LR rarity) Strengthens Tamamizu-Wari. The physical attack’s damage becomes equal to 1520% of her ATK. Before dealing the physical attack, if a target’s current HP is higher than Shizu’s current HP, the physical attack’s damage to that target becomes equal to 2280% of Shizu’s ATK.
