Version 2.0 released on February 06, 2024. The update features the Planet of Festivities, Penacony, as well as the release of playable characters Sparkle, Black Swan, and Misha.
It was announced in the 2.0 Livestream Content Review that Version 2.0 ends in March 27, 2024, meaning that the whole patch covers seven weeks instead of the usual six!

Black Swan's release was in Phase 1 of Version 2.0, featuring the new 4-Star character, Misha, alongside Guinaifen and Tingyun! Black Swan's Light Cone, Reforged Remembrance, was available at the same time.

Sparkle's release banner is currently on-going. Her banner will run from February 29, 2024 until March 26, 2024 for Phase 2 of Version 2.0, with Sampo, Hanya, and Qingque as the featured 4-Star characters! Her Light Cone, Earthly Escapade, is featured at the same time.

Reforged Remembrance is the new featured 5-Star Light Cone for Black Swan in Brilliant Fixation for Phase 1 of Version 2.0. Alongside it is the Brighter Than the Sun Light Cone featured in the Bygone Reminiscence Banner.
Earthly Escapade is Sparkle's Light Cone on Rate-Up for Phase 2 of Version 2.0, alongside Jing Yuan's Before Dawn Light Cone.
After the Version 2.0 Update, the Light Cone Manifest Store within the Forgotten Hall will have a new batch of Light Cones available for free-to-play Trailblazers. With this, if you do not need a Light Cone in the current store, we suggest saving up your Lucent Afterglow!
In the Long Day's Journey Into Night trailblaze mission, the Astral Express crew lands in Penacony planet on the invitation of The Family for a grand banquet celebrating the Charmony Festival. With so many high profile attendants, the Planet of of Festivities promises a banquet to remember!

The Planet of Festivities, Land of Dreams, Penacony, is part of the Version 2.0 release! Players get to access new areas, meet new characters and enemies, as well as get new quests and items in this new planet.

Along with the new area are two new main mechanics, the Dreamscape Pass which lets players collect stickers, and Clockie's Offering where players can exchange Clock Credits for rewards!

Two new Cavern Relics are introduced in Version 2.0, the Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters and the Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations! Both are found in the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Dreamdive.
The Stellaron Hunter: Sam is a new enemy released in Version 2.0. When Sam is in combat against the Trailblazers, he consumes HP to increase his combat abilities.

In Version 2.0, two Stagnant Shadow Boss enemies are introduced, the Shape of Nectar and Shape of Roast. The Shape of Nectar drops Ice-Type ascension materials, while the Shape of Roast drops Quantum-Type ascension materials.

The Lordly Trashcan is a unique enemy with no weaknesses, and will only obtain a weakness from whoever attacks it.

During the Version 2.0 update, Trailblazers can now select the Enhance to the Next Stage option which will rapidly enhance a Relic to specific levels where new random sub stats are gained. For example, you can upgrade a Relic from +0 enhancement to +3.
With the Discard Relic function, Trailblazers will be able to mark useless Relics as soon as they obtain them. Marking relics will allow them to quickly salvage the ones they do not need!
Also, Version 2.0 will now allow Trailblazers to salvage 5-star Relics into Lost Gold Fragments. Do note that there is still the option to convert them into Relic Remains instead.
The Filter function after Version 2.0 will now exclude stats that are not needed for a specific relic set. Also, when a relic set piece has been selected, the filter will only show sets and stats applicable to that set piece!
The developers of Honkai: Star Rail also added a Relics set recommendation function in Version 2.0. This recommendation function will analyze the Relic usage of other Trailblazers and will then provide some guidance with Relic combinations.
When Penacony and new characters come out, more upgrade materials will be added to Honkai: Star Rail. In Version 2.0 and subsequent updates, new Calyxes will be added to several places such as the Xianzhou Luofu and Penacony!
Additionally, materials like the Extinguished Core, which usually drop from non-elite enemies, will be available in Calyx (Golden) stages.
With the Fate's Atlas system, missions will be organized based on their timeline and locations. The system will be presented in the form of a tree diagram, making it easier for Trailblazers to view and access each mission and their unlock requirements.
