Topaz's Aether Spirits are mostly Humanoid types. While using Abberant-type Aether Spirits is the obvious choice here, utilizing a counterattack team comp with the Silvermane Lieutenant is the more reliable choice due to how easy it is to break the IPC units' shields.

To defeat Topaz, all of your units should ideally have shields before she takes her turn so that the Silvermane Lieutenant and the Silvermane Cannoneer will do some follow-up attacks whenever any of your shielded Aether Spirits has been attacked.

Breaking the shields of Topaz's IPC Aether Spirits will also allow the attacker to seize their Performance Points, further increasing their DMG. Do note that your units should be level 6 before battling Topaz since all her Aether Spirits are at that level already!

Almost all of Topaz’s team are IPC Aether Spirits and some of their abilities can deal massive DMG depending on the number of Performance Points they have. Performance Point is a buff that increases their DMG and it can also give them a stackable shield.

If you cannot break the shields of Topaz's IPC Aether Spirits immediately, your team will eventually get wiped out once they consume all of their charges and use their abilities!

How to Beat Topaz in Aetherium Wars

Shield Everyone

The Silvermane Lieutenant's Talent triggers whenever an Aether Spirit from Topaz's team attacks a shielded ally. Since the team comp's main source of damage is the Lieutenant's follow-up attacks, make sure that your Aether Spirits always have a shield to easily beat Topaz!

Buff the Silvermane Lieutenant

Only use the Silvermane Cannoneer's Skill to the Silvermane Lieutenant for it to also counterattack when the Lieutenant attacks an enemy. The Cannoneer's Ultimate should also be used for the Lieutenant so it gains some ATK buffs and recharge its Ultimate!

Heal Allies Using the Warp Trotter

Since the team comp relies on counterattacks, you cannot really prioritize any of Topaz's Aether Spirits. Hence, actively heal your team using the Warp Trotter's abilities so that your units will survive until the end!

Get Performance Points

Whenever the Silvermane Lieutenant or Cannoneer breaks an IPC Aether Spirit's shield, they will be able to obtain their Performance Points. Each stack increases the DMG of their next attack by 25%, making their counterattacks more effective!
