There's always the possibility that Acheron is a special case and is an exception from the rule though.
Jingliu is still very good but she was released around October of last year, while Acheron was on March, she was the best DPS hands down for like 5-6 months, thinking Acheron will be the best DPS till 4.0 or further which is pretty much 2 years is just way too funny to read especially when you see FF kit on beta right now and she's also a 2.0 DPS, 3.0 is going to one up what we already have.
Also, FF's gameplay seems really fun😁, and I already have RM so Robin is probably a skip, and I still need Sparkle😭
I like both😭, I'll probably skip Robin since I do have already a lot of teams available and don't use that much fua, but she's so pretty🥹. I'm going to skip Jade since she doesn't synergyze well with anyone rn and save to get Robin on rerun
You're right, but honestly except FF all other future units don't seem so broken. Jade is ok but nothing special (smash btw), Screwllum doesn't seem to be the op type, Jiaoqiu needs like 50% more dmg taken debuff to be stronger than RM, Robin and such, and Sunday... is still nowhere to be seen. I think most character are good enough for any content, if you want a (even) easier time clearing, pull the new chars, otherwise just a bit of skill and good stats and you're good to go :D
Do you play for meta, or just for your faves? Robin is looking like a Ruan Mei sidegrade so she will still have a lot of value if you care about meta. If you really love Robin, you should pull her though. You should have enough time to save up for Firefly. Since it will be better to pull units you enjoy since that will keep the game from feeling stale and boring in the long run.
Powercreep sure is scary, but honestly it's not a big deal, you can still clear all the hardest content using 4* characters, it's just that the meta shifts too quickly, DoT meta was yesterday, today is FuA and tomorrow it will be break. I agree with you guys tho, that JL is not best dps anymore but still really useful, I still use her and she does an amazing job. If I hadn't her, I probably wouldn't pull her now (except for waifu), but still don't regret pulling her :)
(Still same person posting) I just worry since if Firefly is this cracked, the next big DPS will likely be even more insane, and so on and so on until we eventually get units that are so blatantly overpowered, there's literally no reason to pull anyone until the very last patch of the game. At this rate, by 4.0, Acheron will look like Clara in comparison to the utter monsters we will be getting on a bimonthly basis.
For casual play or if you just want to beat MoC, Jingliu will likely carry an account until the game shuts down for sure. I do not at all say she isn't worth pulling. There's also always the chance we might get an HP fluctuation meta in the future, at which point she would be an amazing unit to have. On the subject of Firefly though, her kit is still very early beta so it might get adjusted. But it does worry me how quickly the game blatantly powercreeps older units.

Guys help please, I'm at pity 50 with no jades, I've already given up on Aven and I think I'll just skip him, I'm 100% going for FF but I want Robin so much😭, should I just get Robin and risk my 50/50 on FF or play it safe and skip Robin?
That's true, JL is good in everything but not the best in any, but her versability in being used in any situation is really good. I don't use her much since I usually go Kafka DoT and Acheron for the MoC but if I need her she never disappoints. FF's kit tho seems so fucking loaded lmao, it's the typical "new dps, new meta starts". She's got an amount of self buffs and def ignores that Acheron's best dps spot seems in danger ngl
Well... Firefly's kit was leaked and yeah... she makes JL and DHIL look like they're 1.0 4-stars. But I guess most people who claim Jingliu sucks have skill issue or are too busy overhyping Acheron. When Acheron falls off, the same will happen to her, when people will say she's trash and the shiny new DPS is the ultimate shit. And then repeat ad infinitio. The main issue with JL is there's not really any content where she truly shines, and where Ach isn't just better to use.
JL can easily deal 900k one turn (skill+ult+bronya+skill), and with bronya she has 100% enhanced state uptime, meaning she can deal 600k minimum per turn, if she has 134 SPD or higher, that's 2 turns per cycle, that is 1.2M minimum one cycle, that's at least on par with DHIL and Acheron, there is absolutely no other dps who can match those big 3
Only DHIL and Acheron are better than her, there is no other dps who can deal bigger numbers, and she still can clear any content and 0 cycle every single MoC since release, she may not be the best anymore but top 3 is absolutely there
Point is that Jingliu is mid now and imo she's not SS tier by any means. Calling her "second" or "third best DPS" is pure cope. I'd say she's around the same level as Blade now in terms of the meta.
DHIL is understandable but JY is a straight cap
No she isn't. Both DHIL and Jing Yuan with Sparkle both do more damage than her. Acheron does more damage than her. She's overrated and powercrept like Seele.
Probably not a good pair, use her with Blade if you have him, but honestly both are mid so don't even bother pulling her
