The Mushroom Forest Map

Before the Boss area, there is a hidden location in the upper-right side of the map with a treasure chest nearby. After defeating the nearby enemies, examine near the white mushrooms to find the Moogle House.

Get Cure and 2 Types of Elemental Magicite

Cure
The first enemy you encounter in The Mushroom Forest will drop a Cure magicite. Pick this up to make the upcoming boss fight easier.

You can also head up to the left doughnut shaped area where enemies will drop two different elemental magicite. While not 100% necessary in this dungeon, fusing two elemental magicite will allow you to cast Gravity which will become more important later on, so think of this as a tutorial of sorts.

Ahriman are monsters that fly and can only be hit when they come down which takes time. If you try your hand at spell fusion and cast Gravity on them, however, they will be immediately brought down to the ground for a swift beating.

Make a Mad Dash For the Boss

The Mushroom Forest lacks any sort of gimmicks like keys or switches so if you follow the main path you can go straight to the boss. In this dungeon you can safely ignore most of the enemies, making it a great place to farm for early-game artifacts. If you find yourself struggling give it a shot.

Dungeon Design Changes Starting in Cycle 2

Cycles
After you finish your first cycle, the design of the dungeon will change based on passage of time, etc, during cycles 2 and 3. The path to the boss will remain the same but the locations you can access and the items you can obtain will be different.
