★ Game8's Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail Wiki is now live!
This is a guide to Tipa, a town in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition (FFCC). Read on to learn everything that can be done here, all Scrolls and Materials which can be purchased here, and all Blacksmiths which can craft Weapons and Equipment.
Behind the town's crystal, you can find a small door.
Just past the bridge at the entrance of the town is a lone Moogle. This is Storage Mog, who you can leave your items with. Your characters from the same caravan will be able to access the items inside as well.
You can also store Gil for safe keeping or for other characters in your caravan to use.
If you buy any DLC items as well, this is where it's sent and stored.
At the very North-West point of the town is a path leading up to a cliff. Walk around the top part until you a Examine prompt pops up to receive the Secret Item. Come back every time you get a drop of Myrrh for it to reset and get a new Secret Item.
TIpa (or if you changed the name) is your hometown where the family members of your Caravan reside. You can talk with the different townsfolk or if you have the selling-type Family Jobs, you can buy and sell items with them.
The production-type family members don't have much interaction outside of talking, even if you're using the character they are related to.
What Home Job Should You Choose?
The Merchant is located near the entrance of the town, at the first junction their house is on the Upper-Left corner. You can buy and sell materials from the Merchant.
They will move in as soon as you create a character with the Merchant as the Family Job. This Merchant is the only one who sells Ultimite, which is required to craft the Ultima Weapons, so be sure to make a character with a Merchant Home Job as early as possible.

Each year, if your character has the Alchemist as their Home Job, they will receive a free Scroll based on their Relationship with their parents. Unlike the Merchant, Blacksmith, and Tailor, other characters won't be able to use their service, so you'll need to place Scrolls in the Storage Box if you want your other characters to use them instead.
