Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Android devices, and iOS devices, and the price has been established to vary among platforms. Despite the game's impending release, there are several mysteries surrounding the actual price of the game.
The most clear information comes regarding the price of the Switch and PS4 version of the game. Although price information regarding the game is strangely absent from the official site, a price of $29.99 USD can be confirmed on both the Nintendo Switch US eShop (accessible via Switch) and the PlayStation 4 US Preorder page.
Things get weird when comparing this price to the that listed on Square Enix's official Japanese game info page. At ¥4800, a price equivalent to over $15 more than that of the US version, it seems like the Japanese audience is really getting shafted this time around.
Prices of £24.99 GBP and $44.95 AUD, roughly equivalent to the US price, could also be confirmed on the PlayStation Preorder page for the respective regions. For those with access to the Nintendo Switch eShop for these or other regions, we would appreciate your contribution of your local price in the comments!
No information is available yet on how much the game will cost on Android or iOS in the US or other non-Japanese regions.
The price of the Japanese mobile version is listed on Square Enix's official Japanese game info page at ¥2820, approximately equivalent to $26.66 USD. That said, following in the footsteps of the console version, there's a high chance the game will be available cheaper abroad than in Japan, perhaps rounding off at $14.99 or $19.99 USD.
A Free demo version of the game, known as the Lite version, will be available for Free for all platforms. It can be downloaded separately on PS4 and Switch, or as part of the same application for Android and iOS.
The Lite version does not contain all the game's contents, but it gains access to most of the main content when playing together with a Full Version teammate.
