High Strength and Defense allow it to break through with hard hits

Yukes are the Mage class. Their Magic stats are higher than any other, and with their fast Cast Time and high Magic Range, they can stand in the back lines and quickly cast powerful attacking Spells.

How to Use Yukes

Avoid Using Normal and Focus Attacks

Aside from Magic, Yukes are useless when it comes to anything else. Their Focus Attack charge time is extremely long, while their attacks are weak, so Yukes should primarily by played with Magic in mind.

Capable users of the Defend action

Although their Defense stat itself is low, when Yukes use the “Defend” action from the menu, their body will vanish, making all enemy attacks miss regardless of their power or direction.

Can support from the back line

Since Yukes will be using magical attacks for the most part, they have little need to come in close and confront the enemy directly. They're most capable of staying on the back row and acting like a siege cannon. They can use their quick Cast Time to continually heal those in the front, and when they have an opening, come in with a powerful attack.

Use Magic Strikes in single-player mode

In single-player mode, players can combine their Weapon with Magicite to use Magic Strikes. However, since Yukes' Strength is low, be sure to change your paired Magicite out to match the enemy when attacking.

The higher the Affinity Value, the greater the effect will be. Eating a food with a higher Affinity Value will heal a higher amount of HP and provide a boost to stats, while eating a food with a low value with heal less HP and inflict a statistical penalty. Try to eat Star Carrots as much as possible to get the biggest possible boost!

DLC Exclusive

The DLC weapons for Yukes come with a whopping 45 strength, stronger than any obtainable weapon in the base game. That said, Yukes won't be using their effects as much as other classes which rely more heavily on the Strength stat, so it might not be as productive of an investment if you're using a Yuke.
