How do Artifacts Work?

Artifacts.jpeg

Artifacts are items which permanently boost a player's stats or abilities. As FFCC has no level-up system, Artifacts are the only permanent way to power up a character. Some also provide boosts which cannot be gained via Equipment.

Artifacts are found scattered around Dungeons, and as a reward for defeating Bosses. At the end of a Dungeon, each player will be able to choose only one Artifact. Be sure to pick the Artifact which best benefits your character in the long term.

How to Find Artifacts

Artifacts are found primarily in Dungeons, and cannot be purchased from Shops. Treasure Chests, Monsters, and Bosses within Dungeons will reward you with Artifacts.

Treasure Chests Treasure Chests in Dungeons will reward players with Artifacts. Some Treasure Chests will contain one of four random Artifacts, and repeating the Dungeon will be required to collect them all.
Monsters Regular enemies found throughout Dungeons will sometimes drop Artifacts. They are often held by stronger Monsters.
Boss When you defeat each Boss, they will provide four Artifacts to choose from. The Artifacts dropped by the Boss depend on the Bonus Points collected by the players, as well as the Cycle number of the Dungeon (each time a Myrrh tree is fruitful again, a new Cycle begins in that Dungeon).

    • Looking for friends to play Post-Game Dungeons with and farm rare Scrolls and Materials.

    • Hello! A question regarding Bonus Points and Boss sets:
If I go to Tida on Cycle 3 in a Solo playthrough, do I need to reach the bonus points listed for 1P on the lists here to qualify for Set 8 to possibly drop?
I'm currently trying to farm for better gear and need the scroll for a Selkie acc, which Armstrong drops in set 8, but havent fully grasp the system behind Bonus Points and Set chances yet.
      Thanks in advance!
