Drizzt Do'Urden

Drizzt is a natural choice for this because of his quick attacks and buffs from his abilities. Out of our three melee fighters, Drizzt's speed put his him above the two. This means you can zip in and out of the field of battle and deal damage as long as your Stamina bar can hold out.

If you are the type of player who relishes close-combat then Drizzt would be the best character for you to play solo.

Catti-Brie

Although Catti-brie is introduced as a support character, her Charged Arrows are a force to be reckoned with. This attack focuses the normal damage of 3 arrows in a single focused shot, however the damage is still dealt across three enemies making her Charged Arrows as strong as her Arcane Arrows, if not better.

If your playstyle is more of a ranged shooter, then Catti-brie is the best character to shoot down enemies with.

Bruenor's tanky build with the ability of providing multiple buffs to allies make him a good alternative to Catti-brie as the best character to play as when playing co-op. Bruenor can deal just as much damage as our other melee fighters but what makes him the best character to choose in a party is his durability especially on higher Challenge Ratings.

Wulfgar

Wulfgar has a high damage output and an amazing Ultimate that can clear out waves of enemies and deal a ton of damage to a boss. His moves also includes having a chance to inflict bleeding, making him even more powerful.

This is only overshadowed by his slow mobility and slow attack speed, making him extremely hard to play in solo. You will have to be extremely careful and plan out your attack when playing as Wulfgar to effectively use him.

Bruenor Battlehammer

Bruenor Battlehammer is a very tanky character with moves and abilities that allows him to take more hits than anyone in his party. He also have moves that allows him to instantly heal himself up and give himself buffs.

Unfortunately, his damage output is really low and his ultimate and abilities is heavily focused towards supporting his allies in co-op play.

Catti-Brie

Cattie-brie's support abilities are arguably the most important set of abilities that a co-op mission could need. In higher challenge ratings where HP will be in constant strain, her Healing Spirit and Resurrection are crucial skills.

Adding in her insane Charged Arrows damage which gives her the ability to wipe out crowds with her Resurrection and Healing Spirit, this makes her the best character in co-op play primarily because she can switch from dealing damage to providing assistance when things go south.

Bruenor Battlehammer

Bruenor's tanky build with the ability of providing multiple buffs to allies make him a good alternative to Catti-brie as the best character to play as when playing co-op. Bruenor can deal just as much damage (albeit a bit slower) as the other melee fighters but what makes him the best character to choose in a party is his durability especially on higher Challenge Ratings.

Wulfgar

Good damage and lots of crowd control moves that hits multiple enemies or knocks them around Ultimate attacks and skills can hit multiple enemies at once	Slowest amongst all companions and not as tanky as Bruenor making him susceptible to heavy damage Needs to close the range constantly, making him susceptible to becoming stunned by heavy attacks from opponents

Wulfgar is good for one thing - crowd control. He will not be the quickest in terms of defeating a singular enemy but he will be useful in battles that involve huge numbers of enemies. Combo him up with a Catti-brie and they can finish up crowds in an instant.

However, given that his absurdly low speed essentially lowers his damage output and increases his vulnerability, this makes him challenging to use especially in higher difficulty ratings.

Drizzt Do'Urden

Highest damage potential amongst all companions due to his insane speed His skills simply increases his damage potential making him the ultimate damage dealer	Needs to close the range constantly making him vulnerable to damage His crowd control skills pale in comparison to Wulfgar

Drizzt is hailed as the best solo character - for good reason. His damage output is insane and most enemies will fall within seconds from Drizzt's unrelenting combos. However, this singular damage playstyle is what makes him the worst co-op player.

He does not have any good crowd control skills to speak of. Despite Faerie Fire and Cloud of Daggers trying to give him variety, it pales in comparison to Wulfgar's AoE damaging abilities, Bruenor's defensive skills, and Catti-brie's healing.
