Bruenor is the game's tank class so you'll want to get Tough and Defender as early as possible. Dungeon Delver is to increase Bruenor's damage against elite enemies for faster dungeon clears.

If you're not confident with your parrying skills, Battle Master gives almost the same amount of damage boost and is easier to trigger.
