This is a guide on short rests in D&D: Dark Alliance. Read on to know more about what short rests are for and how it should be used while playing the game.
List of Contents
Short rests are campfires that appear after completing certain combat areas. They are optional checkpoints and can be used to replenish your health, stamina, and your useables. If you choose not to use them, you will increase the rarity and rank of dropped loot.
You can only have one per level - the most recent Short Rest checkpoint used will replace the previous one.
Short rest is a tactic that is useful when you're at low health and have run out out useables. You will also get a spawn point that is much closer to your objectives. This is especially helpful for those playing solo since there's no way to be revived in this mode.
The one drawback to this tactic is that the more Short Rests you use, the less opportunities you'll have to gain high tier equipment.
Chest that could contain useables
Only take Short Rests in the most drastic circumstances, such as when you're at a dangerously low health and have no more useables. This is because you can also obtain useables from chests.
You should only use it as a checkpoint if you feel you're far enough away from the beginning of the level that you'll be at a severe disadvantage if you die.
It's best to prioritize this since it will give you the most benefits, such as gold in case you sell the equipment or better stats and buffs if you use and upgrade them.
You don't have to worry too much about not having a checkpoint since you can just run past enemies and you don't lose the loot you'd obtained when you die. There are sometimes also elevators that can serve as shortcuts to help you reach the point where you died quicker.
