Having lost his throne to the invasion of monsters seeking the Crystal Shard, Bruenor now uses his axe and shield to plow through his enemies with ease (but that won't stop him from grumbling about it).

Which Attributes to Prioritize

You will need a lot of Constitution to really live up to the title of being "tough as nails" according to the developers. Prioritizing Bruenor's Charisma is also a good idea if you plan on playing the tank role in a party. Lastly, Strength will determine if you can dish out the same damage you can take.

Melee Attacks

Close-ranged, heavy hits are Bruenor's forte, using his axe and shield to its full capacity.

Backhand Spinner	Backward Tap + A quick backhanded spinning attack. Can grant Frenzy and has a 50% chance to inflict Sapped.
Cost: 2,500 Minimum Level: 1
Blocking Crusher	Press while Blocking A crushing attack that knocks down monsters. Has a 50% chance to inflict Charmed.

Backstep Launcher	Press while walking backward A backstep launching attack to disengage from close range. The last hit has a 50% chance to inflict Sapped and Slowed.

Steel Launcher	Tap Backward + after Shield Slam A powerful shield launcher that devastates monsters. Shortens Bruenor's active ability cooldowns by 3% on each hit. Also has a 50% chance of inflicting Sapped.

Crescent Slash	Hold A wide crescent slash that stuns monsters. Can grant Cleaving and has a 75% chance to inflict Sapped.

Rising Axe	Tap Forward + while Hurt OR Blocking A powerful spinning and rising axe thrust Inflicts stamina destruction, has a 50% chance to grant Physical Resistance, and a 50% chance to inflict Slowed.
Cost: 9,000 Minimum Level: 15

AoE Attacks

These are Bruenor's area-of-effect techniques that allow him to thin out crowds or support his teammates.

Stomping Quake	Press + Unblockable footstomp shockwave that can launch monsters into the air. Has a 25% chance to grant Unstoppable, a 50% chance to grant the Cold Damage buff, and a 75% chance to inflict Slowed.

Warsong	Press + while Blocking Hammers on shield to heal all allies and boost their stamina. Inflicts strong stamina destruction with a 75% chance to gain Vampiric and Thorns.

Multi-Strike Attacks

These are attacks that hit multiple enemies, allowing Bruenor to maximize his power potential.

Rolling Boulder	Tap Forward + Forward axe roll that staggers monsters with multiple hits. Inflicts stamina destruction and has 25% chance to inflict Bleeding on the last hit.

Frostwave Grind	Hold A powerful 2-hit attack that summons an unblockable ice vortex The first hit fills Ultimate by 3% with a 75% chance to grant Vampiric. Also inflicts stamina destruction and a 50% chance to inflict Slowed and Sapped.

Ranged Attacks

Using these abilities, these allow Bruenor to extend his range, letting him hit enemies from afar.

Lunging Axe	Tap Forward + A tremor-inducing lunge attack. Inflicts stamina destruction and has a 75% chance to grant Cleaving, the second hit inflicts Sapped.

Shield Slam	Tap Backward + A leaping shield slam to flatten monsters that breaks guard. Inflicts stamina destruction and has a 50% chance to inflict Weakened.

Abilities

Moves	Description
Taunt	Taunts nearby monsters, increasing Bruenor's aggro and reducing incoming damage. Bruenor also gains Stalward and Thorns.

Anvil of Clangeddin	A magical Anvil drops in front of Bruenor. On impact, it damage and guard breaks monsters, also dealing physical and fire damage over time.For the duration of the effect, allies that enter the area gain an Elemental Fire weapon buff.

Whirlwind	Spinning attack that deals damage and applies Sapped and Slowed to all hit monsters.
