This is a guide on Parrying in D&D: Dark Alliance. Read on to learn more about what parrying is, its benefits, and how to perform a parry.
Parry is used to deflecting your opponent's attack. It is similar to blocking, but with Parry, your character restores its stamina. While blocking an attack consumes stamina.
Getting a successful Parry will restore your character's stamina and break the monster's block. Use this opportunity to counterattack and defeat the monster.
You will also get the It's All About Timing Bronze PSN Trophy when you use the Parry 500 times.
To use a Parry, press the L1 (Block Button) on the controller right before a monster's attack lands. If you want to improve your parry skill, go to the Trials of Tempus mission.
A successful Parry needs a lot of practice as getting the perfect timing is a bit challenging. Good thing there's an indicator that will help you determine if a monster is about to attack you.
When an arrow pointing at you is in the color yellow, it means a monster is about to attack you. Look for that monster and wait for the arrow to turn color red. When the arrow turns red, it is the perfect time to use the Parry and Block. Get ready to press the L1 (Block Button) and wait till the monster's attack lands on you.
