What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Weapon skill grants Canto, bonus stats, an Iote's Shield effect, Null Guard, damage reduction piercing, true damage, and true damage reduction. |
Might: 16 Range: 1 Enables 【Canto (Rem. +1)】. Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). Grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5. At start of turn, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Spd/Def/Res+6, "neutralizes 'effective against flying' bonuses," and "reduces the percentage of foe's non-Special 'reduce damage by X%' skills by 50% during combat (excluding area-of-effect Specials)" to unit for 1 turn. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res = 15% of unit's Spd at start of combat, neutralizes effects that inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit, unit deals +X x 5 damage (max 30; excluding area-of-effect Specials), and reduces damage from foe's attacks by X x 3 during combat (max 18; excluding area-of-effect Specials), and also, when foe's attack triggers foe's Special, reduces damage further by X x 3 (max 18; excluding area-of-effect Specials; X = number of 【Bonus】 effects active on unit and foe, excluding stat bonuses). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, restores 7 HP to unit after combat. |
Cooldown Count = 3 Treats foe's Def/Res as if reduced by 50% during combat. |
If 【Bonus】 is active on unit, grants Spd/Def+X to unit during combat (X = number of【Bonus】effects active on unit, excluding stat bonuses, × 2, + 3; max 9), and also, if number of【Bonus】effects active on unit (excluding stat bonuses) ≥ 4, unit can counterattack regardless of foe's range during combat. |
Inflicts Atk/Spd-4 on foe during combat. If unit's Spd + Res ≥ foe's Spd + Res - 10 (excluding effects from 【Phantom】), unit deals +X damage (excluding when dealing damage with an area-of-effect Special) and reduces damage from foe's first attack by X during combat (X - unit's Res at start of combat - 30; min 0, max 10; "first attack" normally means only the first strike; for effects that grant "unit attacks twice," it means the first and second strikes), unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack, foe cannot make a follow-up attack, and increases the Spd difference necessary for foe to make a follow-up attack by 20 during combat (Spd must be ≥ 25 to make a follow-up attack; stacks with similar skills). |
Inflicts Atk/Spd-4 on foes within 2 spaces of unit during combat. At start of turn, if unit is within 2 spaces of an armored ally or an infantry ally with Range = 1, grants "unit can move 1 extra space" to unit, infantry allies with Range = 1 within 2 spaces of unit, and armored allies within 2 spaces of unit. (That turn only; does not stack; effect triggers only if unit has no Sing or Dance skill.) |
Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Hoshidan Summer Mia are +Spd and -Def. Mia's Spd is the highest in the game at base 47, boosted to 52 with Summertime Axe, and 56 with a superboon. Utilizing Mia's high Spd to outspeed her foes and create her own follow-up attacks while preventing her foe's follow-up attacks is the ideal setup.
Mia's Def is just average at base 27, raised to 32 with with Summertime Axe. Her Res is better, sitting at 40 with with Summertime Axe. Thus, we opt for taking a Def bane as her 40 Res can be used to absorb a magical attack if necessary.
We recommend +Spd when merging Hoshidan Summer Mia up to 10. She is the fastest unit in the game (as of the time of her release) and she should take advantage of her Spd stat as a result.

This build uses premium skills to have Mia excel offensively. Atk/Spd Prime and S/D Rein Snap are upgrades over Spd/Def Prime and A/S Rein Snap respectively for offensive purposes, while Aerial Maneuvers provides mobility and easier combat. Atk Oath Echo adds a Bonus effect to improve Summertime Axe's performance.

Hoshidan Summer Mia is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Hoshidan Summer Mia's Summertime Axe has multiple different effects that aid her both offensively and defensively.
Below is a summary of these effects:
Condition(s) | Effect |
---|---|
Always | Enables 【Canto (Rem. +1)】. |
Always | Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). |
Always | Grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5. |

*The number of 【Bonus】 effects active on Hoshidan Summer Mia and her foe, excluding stat bonuses, determines the value of X on the effects listed above.
Summertime Axe is a complete weapon that grants Hoshidan Summer Mia mobility, bulk, and damage all at once, making her a formidable unit on the battlefield as long as its effects trigger.
Hoshidan Summer Mia is incredibly reliant on 【Bonus】 effects for both Summertime Axe and her default Spd/Def Prime 4.
There are ways to prevent Hoshidan Summer Mia from creating 【Bonus】 effects for herself through Summertime Axe's start-of-turn trigger or other sources. Among the most notable of these are Fallen Nergal's 【Essence Drain】 effect or Elimine's Staff of the Saint.
Without 【Bonus】 effects, Hoshidan Summer Mia loses a large chunk of her power and becomes significantly easier to defeat.
As a flying unit, Hoshidan Summer Mia takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. However, Summertime Axe neutralizes this weakness whenever she triggers its start-of-turn effects.
If Hoshidan Summer Mia is unable to trigger Summertime Axe due to the HP threshold or other external factors, ensure you keep her away from enemies wielding bows to protect her from heavy damage.
