Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Rinea will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Spd/-HP

The best IVs for Rinea are +Spd and -HP. A higher Spd stat allows Rinea to avoid some follow-up attacks from her foes. This increases her survivability by a lot. Even with this IV, she would not reach levels of Spd that make it a cake walk for her to score follow-up attacks—but its still helpful against those slower units. Her HP is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane. Be wary as her HP is a superbane!

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Rinea to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. With this IV, she reaches 40 Spd at 10 merges which is quite decent!

A +Def IV is also viable when stacking Def to dodge the Isolation effect of Mila's Turnwheel.

How to Use, Explanation

This build works for any refresher unit and Rinea is not an exception. Fury boosts multiple stats in case Reyson has to enter combat. You may use Fury 3 and Drive Atk 2 as budget replacements.

Rinea is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Rinea Strengths

Weapon has built-in Distant Guard 3!

Rinea's Silver Goblet+ grants +4 Def/Res to allies within 2 spaces if they get into combat with ranged foes! This effect is identical to Distant Guard 3 and it stacks with Distant Guard's skill and Sacred Seal versions!

Obviously, it benefits all kinds of allies but it carries a special synergy with Caineghis whose kit consists of skills that cripple ranged enemy units.

Refreshes her allies' actions

Dance is an assist skill that allows the target ally to take another action. Because of this, your allies can move and attack twice to take down foes, or attack and move back to the safe zone so that they won't be taken out during the enemy phase. It has high strategic value and it allows Rinea to become a part of many team compositions.

Atk/Res Buff to Refreshed Ally

Because of Fireflood Dance 2, not only does an ally get an additional action, but they also get +3 Atk and +4 Res. This provides them a bit more firepower that may mean the difference between defeating the next foe or not. This also synergizes well with blade tome users like Tharja and Nino, as they can turn these buffs into even more firepower.

Rinea Weaknesses

Low Firepower!

Although she is mainly a dancer, Rinea may find herself in situations wherein it would be smarter to attack an enemy. All dancers find themselves in this situation, but in Rinea's case, she has very limited damage. If you constantly find yourself struggling in these situations, consider swapping out Silver Goblet+ with other weapons. Check out the builds section to learn more! Rinea is a limited time Hero who can be obtained as a reward for your score in the Tempest Trials. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.
