How to Take Swalot 1 Star Photo

Simple Pose

Start Badlands (Day) at Research Level 1 and look for Swalot at the toxic swamp area. Take a simple photo of the Pokemon without interacting with it to obtain its 1 Star photo.

How to Take Swalot 2 Star Photo

Hit by a Fluffruit

Start Badlands (Day) at Research Level 1 and proceed through the toxic swamp area. Hit Swalot with a Fluffruit and take its photo reacting to it to obtain its 2 Star photo.

Jumping Out of the Swamp

To take Swalot's 3 Star photo, start Badlands (Night) at Research Level 2 and proceed through the toxic swamp area. Throw an Illumina Orb at the Crystabloom on the swamp and wait for the Swalots to jump out.

Take a photo of Swalot jumping from the swamp to obtain its 3 Star photo.

Trying to Swallow Koffing

This photo can be taken as part of the Open Wide! Lentalk Request. Start Badlands (Day) at Research Level 3 and proceed through the toxic swamp area.

Look to the left and throw a Fluffruit on top of the toxic sludge volcano. If done correctly, a Koffing will appear and descend near the Swalot.

As the Koffing floats near Swalot, Swalot will open its mouth and try to swallow the Koffing. Quickly take a photo of the Pokemon before it spits Koffing out to obtain the 4 Star photo and complete the request.

Note that both Pokemon need to be in the frame to count for the request, but the focus of the shot must be on Swalot.
