Countermeasures against Pink Rathian

Recommended Weapon Element and Armor Skills

Dragon Weapon	Pink Rathian is weakest against dragon.
Recommended Armor Skills
Fire Resistance	Lessen the damage from Pink Rathian's fire-related attacks by building Fire Resistance.
Poison Resistance	If you do not want to bother worrying about Pink Rathian's poison, you can build Poison Resistance to make it a non-issue.
Earplugs	Pink Rathian has a small roar, so Earplugs Lvl 3 should suffice.
Mind's Eye/Ballistics	Because Pink Rathian has tougher skin, you will find that your melee weapons will bounce off or your arrows will break. Prevent this with Mind's Eye/Ballistics.
Stun Resistance	If you find yourself get stunned often, then dying because you get stunned, you might have to get Stun Resistance to reduce the stunned time or get rid of it altogether.
Clutch Claw Boost	It might be useful to tenderize the tougher parts of Pink Rathian, like its torso and its back.

How to Beat Pink Rathian

Pink Rathian and Rathian

The approach when fighting against Pink Rathian is the same as fighting the normal Rathian Variant. You have to constantly move around and avoid getting hit by the somersault attack.

Tougher Skin

The Pink Rathian variant has a tougher skin than the normal Rathian variant. Both of her back and the torso are tougher than the other parts and it can bounce off weapons even with blue sharpness.

Consecutive Bites

The normal variant of Rathian will only bite once and then do a different move. However, for the Pink Rathian, he can sometimes do two consecutive bites in a row. Watch out for these bites since they can take a huge chunk of your health or even cart you if you manage to get hit twice.

Somersault Attack

The somersault attack of the Pink Rathian now has an even wider range than the usual. You must take a few more extra steps away from Pink Rathian when dodging and do not engage again until it is safe to completely avoid this attack.

Triple Flame Breath

Unlike the normal Rathian variant, the Pink Rathian variant will always shoot three consecutive fire breath attacks even when it is not enraged.

These three fire breath attack will always shoot in the order of center, left, and then right. Once you have avoided the first fire breath, it will be much easier to avoid the following attacks by rolling to the right after you dodge.

Also, the second and the third fire breath will not hit if you stand directly in front of Pink Rathian, you can use this to your advantage and position yourself in front of Pink Rathian to attack without having to worry about dodging.
