How to Beat Azure Rathalos

The approach to fighting Azure Rathalos is basically the same as that of fighting the normal Rathalos variant. Try to aim for the head and play aggressively after using a Flash Pod.

Tougher Skin

The Azure Rathalos variant has a tougher skin than the normal Rathalos variant. In particular, his back and wings are so tough that even a weapon with blue sharpness can be repelled.

Wider Range

The flame breath attacks of Azure Rathalos has a wider range than the usual. Because of this, it is a lot more difficult to dodge especially when he uses his jump back flame breath attack. You may need to focus on building up your Fire Resistance rather than building up your damage skills for this hunt.

Longer Flight Time
