Countermeasures against Legiana

Recommended Weapon Element and Armor Skills

Recommended Weapon Element
Thunder Weapon	Legiana is weakest against thunder.
Poison Weapon	Legiana is also susceptible to poison, so if you have a stronger poison weapon, feel free to bring it.
Recommended Armor Skills
Ice Resistance	Building Ice Resistance to Lvl 3 can mitigate a lot of Legiana's damage.
Blight Resistance	Legiana can inflict Iceblight a lot. It will be worth it to get Blight Resistance to Lvl 3, especially if your weapon is a stamina-hungry one.
Earplugs	Legiana's screech is deafening! Getting the Earplugs skill to Lvl 5 will be worth it.

How to Beat Legiana

Ice Attacks

Legiana will frequently use a powerful tail slam that is usually followed up by an ice attack that can deal massive damage. You can easily avoid this by moving sideways and then, there will be a small window for you to deal some chip damage after the attack. Be sure that you are prepared at all times and close the gap after the tail attack.

Building Ice Resistance

Most of Legiana's attacks are ice-based attacks, it is highly recommended that you build up your Ice Resistance skill to at least level 3. This will drastically reduce the damage of Legiana's attacks.

Using Flash Pods

You can shut down Legiana when he is flying, this will happen often similar to Rathalos. Legiana will be difficult to fight when he is flying around, make sure that you are carrying multiple Flash Pods to instantly bring him down if he takes off.

Inflicting Poison

If you are having a hard time attacking Legiana because of his movements, you can try using a Poison Knife to deal some chip damage. Since Legiana is highly susceptible to the poison ailment, you can easily inflict this ailment by only using a handful of poison knives.
