How to Pause During a Quest in Monster Hunter World

PS4 and PC Versions

In both the PS4 and PC versions of Monster Hunter World, quests are unable to be paused. However, there is a workaround used in the PS4 version to pause the game.

PS4 Pause Workaround

The PS4 version can be paused by setting the PS4 into Rest Mode. This allows the PS4 to run the game in the background in Low Power Mode.

This method can be extremely useful when you want to pause the game for a quick errand.

To do this, long-press the PS button, go to Power, and choose Enter Rest Mode. Please note that this will only work in offline mode. Doing this solo online or with friends will disconnect you from the multiplayer session!
