After unlocking high rank quests, you will get assigned to collect ??? Rathian tracks. These tracks will appear across all the maps, whether you are in an optional quest or in an expedition. So you can just collect these naturally as you complete optional quests.
But if you want to get the ??? Rathian tracks as soon as possible, there is an optimal route that you can follow.
Going on an expedition to the Rotten Vale is the most efficient way to collect ??? Rathian tracks. This route will net you 4–5 ??? Rathian tracks per expedition, so just keep repeating this route until you collect enough tracks.

| 1 | Collect tracks starting from the Southeast Camp on the way to Area 1. If you don't find any, go to Area 3. |
| 2 | Area 3 typically has a lot of tracks. But if you see a Claw Mark instead of the normal footprints, return from the expedition then restart the route. |
| 3 | If you go through Area 3 to Area 4, you will find an Old Scale along the path from Area 4 to Area 1. |
| 4 | There is also an Old Scale at the end of the road from Area 1 to Area 2. |

After collecting enough tracks, you will get the quest called ★7 Old World Monster in the New World where you have to hunt a Pink Rathian. You will also get an optional quest called ★7 Pretty in Pink. The Pink Rathian is powerful, so make sure to get ready!
