Wedge Beetles are the fastest way to get around, so knowing how to use them is an invaluable skill for any monster hunter. If you want to know the ins-and-outs of using Wedge Beetles in Monster Hunter: World, keep reading!

How to Use Wedge Beetles

Attaching to Wedge Beetles

First, you have to aim at the Wedge Beetle. A prompt will pop up, showing you the button you need to press to attach to the Wedge Beetle.

Aim Attach
PC (Melee) C Right click
PC (Ranged) Right click MB5
Playstation L2
Xbox LT B

Jumping from Wedge Beetles

While attached to the Wedge Beetle, you can still control your movement with either your L3 stick or WASD keys. You can pick where you want to land this way.

Then you can detach and jump off using your evade button.

While midair, you can look around for other Wedge Beetles and reattach yourself to them.

Capturing Wedge Beetles

Sadly, Wedge Beetles cannot be captured with the Capture Net. They are only used for getting around the map.
