Peppy Interlude and Expedition Information
Interlude and Exploration Details
The Peppy portion of the event is within the Critter Pick: Detective Peppy Interlude Adventure Mission. During the quest, you must enter the It All Started With a Man and a Dog Warring Expedition and must complete all three stages to continue with the event.
There, you can use Peppy within the warring expedition stages to explore the map, hide from enemies, and solve puzzles!

Answer Asta's Message to Help Peppy!
After reaching Research Level 4 in the Critter Pick event, Asta will send you a message. Reply to her and she'll ask you to help find Peppy and recover a stolen Curio. You can find Peppy by talking to the Little Robot in the Seclusion Zone.

Complete It All Started With a Man and a Dog Stages
Help Peppy find the stolen Curios inside the Warring Expeditions. Doing so will initiate the It All Started With a Man and a Dog quest chain. There are 3 difficulties you need to complete to finish the mission!
Tell Asta That You Finished Helping Peppy
Once you've completed all the stages and have helped Peppy return the stolen Curio, you will receive a message from Asta. Just reply to her to complete the Peppy Interlude quest. Note that you get 500 Credits for completing the quest.

It All Started With a Man and a Dog I Objectives
- Objective 1: Get spotted by monsters for less than 5 time(s) in the Sync Mode.
- Objective 2: Collect all the encryption origami cranes.
- Objective 3: Find Ruan Mei's creation that is asking for help.
Difficulty 1 Step-by-Step Process
- Talk to Peppy.
- Control Peppy to search for clues about Curios.
- Find Ruan Mei's creation that is asking for help.
- Solve the Unearthly Marvel to finish.
Speak with Peppy to Find Clues!
Find Peppy and protect Peppy from the Monster that is about to attack! You will be fighting 1x Voidranger - Distorter, 1x Baryon, and 2x Voidranger - Reaver.
Afterwards, you can talk to Peppy and follow Peppy around the area!
Control Peppy to Search for Clues
After following Peppy for a brief moment, You'll have to control Peppy to get through a half-open door. During Sync Mode, you'll have to be careful and evade enemies by hiding behind objects when you're Peppy.
You can also find Origami Cranes as you explore the area as Peppy. Be sure to collect them to finish the objectives!
Find Ruan Mei's Creation Asking for Help
At some point, you can find a distressed Critter near one of the Origami Cranes inside a room guarded by a patrolling Voidranger. Talking with the Critter allows you to complete one of the objectives.
Solve the Puzzle to Finish Difficulty 1
At the end of the Origami Crane trail, you can find a Critter on the other side of the Puzzle. Complete this puzzle to reach the Critter and complete the first difficulty!

- Objective 1: Get spotted by monsters for less than 5 time(s) in the Sync Mode.

Difficulty 2 Step-by-Step Process
Find More Information About the Butler
Get more information about the Butler by asking the Critters around the area. You can find the first Critter in the first room you enter, where you need to save it from a monster.
You'll be faced against 2x Voidranger - Eliminator, 1x Antibaryon, and 1x Voidranger - Reaver.
Solve a Puzzle to Find the Second Critter
After exiting the hallway connected to the first room you enter, immediately turn to the left and you should see a half-open door. You'll have to Sync with Peppy to get through that area.
At the end of the room, you'll need to solve a Unearthly Marvel puzzle to reach the Critter.
Follow the Origami Cranes to Reach the Last Critter
From the same hallway, there's another room with a half-open door. Use Peppy again to explore the area. Follow the trail of Origami cranes while evading all the enemies.
Keep following the trail to find the Critter asking for help hiding behind 3 metal cylinders. Continue down the Hallway to get the last Origami Crane and you'll be able to find the last Critter at the end of the path.

It All Started With a Man and a Dog III Objectives
- Objective 1: Instruct Peppy to debate with the security robot to gain access rights.
- Objective 2: Debate with the Butler and expose its lies.
- Objective 3: Find the lost Curio ''Joy Filtration Set.''
Difficulty 3 Step-by-Step Process
- Head to the Suspicious Room with Peppy!
- Talk to the Security Robot
- Talk to the Butler
- Interact With the Nearby Critters and Terminals
- Confront Butler With Your Evidence
- Obtain the Lost Curio
Head to the Suspicious Room with Peppy
Follow Peppy and head inside a suspicious room. Exit the room again and the automatic door to the room will suddenly close halfway. You'll need to control Peppy to find a way to open the door.
Talk to the Security Robot to get Access Rights
Find the Security Robot in the room further down the hallway and talk to it. After a debate, you will receive the item, Abnormal images from surveillance records.
Continue and Talk to the Butler
After escaping the room, head towards the large doors and access the terminal to open it. Inside, you can talk with Butler to ask him about the Curio.
Use Peppy to Interact with Nearby Critters and Terminals
Interact with the Critters and Terminals and you will receive the following items: External communication records and Freshly-Baked Cake.
You can use the Freshly-Baked Cake with the Critter on the bottom floor. This will give you more clues about Butler and point you towards the item, Cosmic Fried Rice (Overnight Edition).
Debate with Butler and Expose Its Lies
With all the evidence you've gathered, you can now confront Butler. Doing so will initiate a Debate mini-game, where you have to figure out the lie and present your evidence to counter it!

Obtain the Lost Curio
After exposing Butler's lies, you can head to the area to find the Lost Curio. You'll have to fight 1x Lesser Sting and 3x Juvenile Sting. Defeat them to complete the Difficulty 3 Stage and complete the quest!

How to Play It All Started With a Man and a Dog
How to Unlock Peppy Interlude Quest
To unlock the It All Started With a Man and a Dog, you'll need to complete the mission, Critter Pick: Care by reaching Research Level 4 in the Critter Pick event.
Control Peppy to Explore the Area!
During this Warring Expedition, you will be able to use Thought Sync, which allows you to control Peppy at certain points of the expedition!
While controlling Peppy, you can solve puzzles and interact with other critters!
Avoid Monsters at All Costs!
Since Peppy is just a harmless puppy, avoiding all monsters roaming the facility is a must! You have to be very careful not to get spotted or Peppy will have to use the jet boosters to escape!
