No Official Release Date Yet

While Sam was shown during the 1.6 Livestream as one of the upcoming characters in the new world called Penacony, no official confirmations has yet been made by HoYoVerse regarding his playability.

We can only speculate that he may be released in one of the Version updates after Version 1.6. Since he was shown after Duke Inferno, we speculate that he may be released as a playable character with him or after him.

According to the 2.0 Livestream, Sam appears in Penacony as an enemy! When we clash against Sam, he can set the field ablaze and can consume his health to greatly boost his combat abilities.

His fighting style is all about exchanging life for power according to Da Wei. We'll learn more about Sam and how to fight him in Version 2.0.
