Twins is the second major quest within the Trailblaze Continuance, A Foxian Tale of the Haunted. This quest acts as a tutorial for the event!

Twins also doubles as an event quest for A Foxian Tale of the Haunted. The Trailblaze Continuance occurs simultaneously with the event, so quest progress unlocks more event content!

Unlocks the Percipient Mission

Completing Twins unlocks the Trailblaze Continuance Mission called Percipient, which is a continuation of the event.

Note that a mission called Fyxestroll Gathering II will occur first before Percipient. This acts like an intermission where all characters involved in the event will gather first before investigating the next key event!

Ghostly Grove Tutorial

After meeting up with Guinaifen and the others during Fyxestroll Gathering I, a short tutorial regarding the Ghostly Grove website will occur.

The website contains Investigation Assignments that reward fans and gratuity, important resources needed to progress the event.

Talk to Cirrus

After accepting an Investigation Assignment that involves Bailu, you first need to talk to Cirrus. They are located near the Verdant Terrace Entrance teleporter of the Fyxestroll Garden.

Ask for Jing Yuan's Assistance

Head to the Seat of Divine Foresight in the Exalting Sanctum to ask for Jing Yuan's personal assistance. After telling Jing Yuan about the heliobi crisis, he will then accept Cirrus' request. Return to Fyxestroll Garden and interact with Cirrus again.

Exorcismics and Fiendfire Tutorial

When Jing Yuan and Cirrus' conversation ends, a battle that introduces the Exorcismics ability and Fiendfire mechanic will commence. Finish the fight in order to progress the quest.

What is the Exorcismics Ability?

Exorcismics is an ability that can be used in battle against the heliobi. Initially, it can only deplete the enemies' Toughness and also deals damage!

What is the Fiendfire Mechanic?

Fiendfire appears in the Action Order depicted by a green or red flame. If the green flame reaches the top, it will provide energy for Exorcismics. If the red flame is on top, enemies will be enhanced.

You can bump up the Fiendfire on the Action order by using Ultimates. This allows you to snatch the Fiendfire and stop the enemies from getting enhanced!

Head to Aurum Alley

After the battle with Cirrus, head to Aurum Alley to start the investigation that requires you to search for Bailu. The first objective is to talk to the medical assistant searching for her. You will receive a mission item called Harmonic Chime after the conversation.

Search for Bailu

After your conversation with the medical assistant, the next objective is to find Bailu within the marked area. Interact with the door shown above in order to find her.

Enter the Illusory Maze: Luxie

Talk to Guinaifen and prepare to recover Bailu through an Exploratory Excursion. We recommend bringing Physical, Lightning, and Imaginary characters since most enemies are weak to those!

The strongest enemy you will encounter in the Exploratory Excursion is the Aurumaton Spectral Envoy. So make sure to bring a DPS character which can inflict Weakness Break against it.

Follow Bailu

When you enter the Illusory Maze, the main goal is to catch Bailu. After following Bailu for several seconds, the game will prompt you to close a door. Interact with the Door Lock and then continue catching up with Bailu until a cutscene triggers.

Drive Bailu into the Matrix

To actually catch up with Bailu, you need to solve a puzzle that will require you to close the appropriate doors to alter Bailu's escape route and drive her straight into the Lunaumbra Gourd's matrix!

Fight Luxie

After driving Bailu to the Lunaumbra Gourd's matrix, you will then fight Luxie, the heliobi playing with Bailu. Do note that the fight involves the Exorcismics and Fiendfire mechanics.

Talk to Guinaifen

After completing the Exploratory Excursion, talk to Guinaifen. Then, create a post about the Investigation Assignment on Ghostly Grove. A short tutorial about this will occur.

Go to the Suppression Tower

Finally, proceed to the marked suppression tower in the Fyxestroll Garden. Then, cast the heliobus into it. After that, a group message with the Ghost-Hunting Squad will pop up. Simply progress through the messages to end the quest.

After the quest, the number of your fans will increase and new Investigation Assignments will be available!

How to Catch Up to Bailu

Bailu Door Puzzle Solution

• Step 1: Close the First Door
• Step 2: Close the Second Door
• Step 3: Drive Bailu Into the Matrix

Close the First Door

As soon as the cutscene with the Ghost-Hunting Squad ends, enter the first door to your right. Then, close it from the other side.

Close the Second Door

After closing the first door, go straight forward and then turn left. You will eventually see a another door to your right, close it using the Door Lock.

Drive Bailu Into the Matrix

Finally, chase down Bailu for her to go straight into the Lunaumbra Gourd's matrix. If you have done it correctly, a cutscene will shortly trigger.
