The Desolate Depths of Despair has two other connected Trailblaze Missions that show Dan Heng's side of the story during The Xianzhou Luofu storyline. The connected missions are Dragon Mislay, Dreams Astray and Oblation Obtained, Order Ordained.
In these missions, we use Dan Heng instead of the usual Trailblazer Main Character until we meet the rest of Astral Express Crew!

Desolate Depths of Despair Walkthrough
| Quest Walkthrough | |

| 1 | Head to the Artisanship Commission to head to the Alchemy Commission. |
| 2 | Talk to the group, then check on the survivors in the commission. |
| 3 | Defeat the Dying Cloud Knight infected by the mara. |
| 4 | Go to the next area to join the Cloud Knights, then talk to the group again. |
| 5 | Talk to the Captured Disciple and an On-Duty Cloud Knight to gather information while you wait for Fu Xuan. |
| 6 | Talk to Fu Xuan after she arrives, then follow her to near the elixir crucibles. |
| 7 | Head down and turn off all three elixir crucibles. |
| 8 | Defeat Dan Shu, who turned into The Ascended enemy. |
| 9 | Once you defeat The Ascended, a cutscene will start where she will ask for help from Tingyun, who turns out to be Lord Ravager borrowing Tingyun's body. |
| 10 | Defeat three waves of Antimatter Legion enemies. |
| 11 | After defeating the Antimatter Legion, talk to the group again. |
| 12 | Follow Fu Xuan again and take the starskiff to enter the Scalegorge Waterscape. Note: After talking to Fu Xuan, you will enter an excursion domain that tells the story of Dan Heng going attempting to catch up to you. |
How to Turn Off the 3 Small Elixir Crucibles

The first elixir crucible can be seen as soon as you are at the bottom platform. Investigate it to turn it off! |

The second crucible is just ahead of the first one. You don't need to press any buttons as you pass it by because it's already closed! |

The third crucible can be seen from the second one. Defeat the enemies around the area and close the last elixir crucible! |
How to Defeat Dan Shu - The Ascended
Dan Shu transforms to become The Ascended Boss Enemy! To defeat her, you must have Physical, Ice, or Lightning characters with you. You must also bring a healer with you to avoid gaining too much damage from her Prana-Siphon skill.
Dragon Mislay, Dreams Astray Walkthrough
| Quest Walkthrough | |

| 1 | As Dan Heng, you arrive at the Alchemy Commission with Luocha and Sushang. The Trailblazer messages him. However, Dan Heng is unable to send any messages. |
| 2 | Leave the Healer's Market on your own by following the quest markers. You can also do an optional objective to talk to the characters around the area before you leave. |
| 3 | Follow through the quest markers to find out where the Trailblazer and the others are. |
| 4 | As you go down, you can interact with the past echoes of the Vidyadhara. These will also be markers of the direction toward a starskiff! |
| 5 | Take the starskiff and enter the Scalegorge Waterscape! |
| 6 | As soon as Dan Heng sets food in the Scalegorge Waterscape, you will encounter Blade and Kafka. Yanqing then appears and fights with Blade in a cutscene. Blade makes Dan Heng show his true form as the Imbibitor Lunae. |
| 7 | Another fight commences now with Blade and Dan Heng as story characters against Yanqing. Note: Blade and Dan Heng are trial characters during this time. You can only fight Yanqing using them. |
| 8 | Kafka stops all three from fighting, and Jing Yuan appears to talk with all characters there. After that, you go to the Lunarescent Depths with Jing Yuan. |

| 1 | Go to the Dragonvista Rain Hall to meet up with the rest of Astral Express Crew. |
| 2 | Help the Astral Express Crew defeat the Antimatter Legion enemies. Note: Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae, Jing Yuan, March 7th, and the Trailblazer (Physical) are all trial characters during this part. |
| 3 | Once the battle is over, you, as Dan Heng, must open the ''road'' to the Ambrosial Arbor with the power of the high elder. There's also an optional objective to talk to the other characters before you do that, though! |
| 4 | A cutscene will start as Dan Heng opes the path toward the root of the Ambrosial Arbor. After that, the mission is complete! |
