Excessive Shedding is a timed quest in Honkai: Star Rail. Players will need to complete the quest within 4 hours after receiving it in order to get its related quest rewards.

How to Unlock Excessive Shedding

Speak to Pom-Pom Aboard the Astral Express

You can unlock this quest by talking to Pom-Pom aboard the Astral Express and selecting the <!> option. However, do note that the quests that you get from Pom-Pom are random, and this is only one of many short quests that you can get if you speak to the small conductor!

1 Speak to Pom-Pom. They will then ask you about the service of the Express's carriage.
2 Pom-Pom will ask you to look around the carriage to verify his sanity!
3 HSR - Excessive Shedding - Fur.png
Follow the quest navigator to find the suspicious fur! Return to Pom-Pom after your investigation.
4 Finish the conversation to complete the quest!
