Matsuri and Murasame can be found within the Rakshasa Gorge, and is fought during the main quest A New Power.
To fight Matsuri and Murasame again, simply interact with the violet orb in the boss arena to initiate the rematch.
Matsuri and Murasame are existing NPCs that are fought as part of your training.
Defeating Murasame and Matsuri does not remove them as NPCs, and this boss fight is a requirement to unlock the Kamunagi dance.
| Main Weapon | Secondary Weapon |
|---|---|
Soul of Ice
|
Orochi Fangs
|
The Soul of Ice is a long sword with high attack power and water attack, which works effectively against Matsuri due to her weakness to Water Attacks.
Bringing the Orochi Fangs as a secondary weapon allows you to deal damage to Murasame effectively, allowing you to exploit his Earth weakness.

Ring of Repose
|
The Winter Hairpin, War Deity's Pauldron, and Ring of Repose are all equipment that can be crafted from recipes found before fighting Matsuri and Murasame.
Equipping all three increases your defensive stats, allowing you to tank more hits before needing to heal while fighting against Matsuri and Murasame.

Bringing a team consisting of Iroha, Hisui, and Ulalaka for your first team gives you a defensive team, allowing you to survive Matsuri and Murasame's attacks easier while they are not stunned.
Once they are stunned, switch to Subaru, Ikaruga, and Fubuki, who will provide an offensive boost, allowing you to deal more damage while Matsuri and Murasame are stunned.

Upgrading your Sacred Drum and Sacred Mask Skills are a great way to make the boss battle easier.
For the Sacred Dryn, try to prioritize Blessings of Earth nodes. For the Sacred Parasol, prioritize Blessings of Water nodes to boost your elemental attacks.
If you have the means to consistently restore RP, you can repeatedly use the Dance Attacks to quickly fill up the Boss' stagger meter.
Use the Sacred Drum against Murasame, and the Sacred Parasol against Matsuri
Matsuri and Murasame have very powerful attacks, and coming underleveled and unprepared can make the fight significantly harder.
Stock up on healing and food items by purchasing or cooking before challenging the boss!
During the fight, try to incapacitate one boss at a time to make the fight easier.
Focusing Matsuri first can be a good strategy, which leaves Murasame alone, where you can spam the Sacred Drum to deal damage, and recover HP lost from fighting both bosses initially.
Performing a Perfect Dodge gives you a brief window of opportunity where the monster is slowed, allowing you to freely perform your combos.
During the Matsuri and Murasame boss fight, perfect dodges are more important compared to previous boss fights, since its attacks deal significantly more damage, and has shorter wind-up times.

Defeating both Matsuri and Murasame ends your Rakshasa Gorge training, where the two will teach you the Kamunagi Dance.
The Kamunagi Dance is a powerful ability, ideally used as a finisher against very strong opponents.
