White Wolf can be found within the White Wolf Mountains, and is fought during the main quest White Wolf's Madness.
To fight White Wolf again, simply interact with the violet orb in the boss arena to initiate the rematch.
To befriend the White Wolf, perform a Dance of Bonds during the fight, until you see the befriend icon show up underneath its HP bar, and proceed to defeat it. Once it gets back up, interact with it and gift it a Water Crystal or Ice Crystal. Keep in mind that you only have 3 chances before the dance wears off and the Boss disappears.
White Wolf also takes up 4 Barn Spaces, so make sure that you have enough space for it in any of the dev zones before attempting to befriend it.
| Main Weapon | Secondary Weapon |
|---|---|
| Whirlwind | Talisman of Blazes |
The Whirlwind is a short sword with high attack power and wind attack, which works effectively against White Wolf, since it has a weakness to Short Swords.
Bringing the Talisman of Blazes as a secondary weapon allows you to deal damage to White Wolf from afar, while also capitalizing on its Fire weakness.
| Headgear | Pauldron | Accessory |
|---|---|---|
| Fox Mask | Shinobi Pauldron | Soldier's Proof |
The Fox Mask, Shinobi Pauldron, and Soldier's Proof are all equipment that can be crafted from recipes found before reaching White Wolf Mountains.
Equipping all three increases your defensive and offensive stats, allowing you to tank more hits and deal more damage to White Wolf during the battle.

Bringing a team consisting of Mitsuri, Hisui, and Ulalaka provides a balanced team comp, allowing you to weaken White Wolf while you deal damage.
With a high enough bond, Matsuri will perform various Fire Dances, and Hisui with a Talisman of Blazes can deal consistent fire damage to White Wolf.

Upgrading your Short Sword and Sacred Sword Skills is a great way to make the boss battle easier.
For the Short Sword, try to prioritize Charge Attack, and Ultimate Attack nodes, while aiming for Blades of Flame and Blessings of Fire nodes for the Sacred Sword.
If you have the means to consistently restore RP, you can repeatedly use the Sword Dance Attacks to quickly fill up the Boss' stagger meter.
White Wolf has very powerful attacks, and coming underleveled and unprepared can make the fight significantly harder.
Stock up on healing and food items by purchasing or cooking before challenging the boss!
During the White Wolf boss fight, you can use Festival Fire once it's stunned to deal more damage.
Ideally, your goal is to land 2 Festival Fire attacks during the time the boss is stunned. Alternatively, you can use charge attacks with the Sacred Sword equipped to trigger the Blades of Flame skill.
Performing a Perfect Dodge gives you a brief window of opportunity where the monster is slowed, allowing you to freely perform your combos.
During the White Wolf boss fight, perfect dodges are more important compared to previous boss fights, since its attacks deal significantly more damage, and has shorter wind-up times.
Defeating White Wolf the first time frees Fubuki, where he returns and restores Winter Village.
