The Sacred Sword is best used with the Blades of Flame +1 skill unlocked in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (RFGoA). Read on for a guide on how to use the Sacred Sword, the best Sacred Sword skills, all the Sword Dance skills on the Skill Tree, and how to get the Sacred Sword.

How to Use the Sacred Sword

Clear Purple Blight
You can use the Sword Dance kamiwaza of the Sacred Sword near purple-colored Blightblooms in order to make the blight disappear.
Approach a purple Blightbloom with the Sacred Sword equipped in order for the Sword Dance prompt to appear, which will clear the blighted area. Clearing blighted land may allow you to get more development zones that you can customize with the Terra Tiller.
Infuse Attacks with Fire
If you have the Sacred Sword equipped as your sacred treasure, you will be able to add an additional fire attack called a blade of flame whenever you use a bow or the charge attack of any weapon.
More blades of flame can be added to your attacks by unlocking nodes in the Sword Dance Skill Tree.
Sickle Crops to Get Seeds
The Sacred Sword can also be used when farming. This serves as this game's sickle, allowing you to obtain seeds when using Sword Dance on fully grown crops.
The seeds you get from using the Sacred Sword will often be of a higher level than what's planted, allowing you to obtain higher level crops.

If you like using a bow or charge attacks, the best ability to unlock for the Sacred Sword is probably the Blades of Flame +1. This allows you to add an additional blade of flame attack when using a bow or charged attack with the Sacred Sword as your equipped sacred treasure.
Blades of Flame +1 appears to stack if you unlock more of this skill, easily increasing your damage output. Unlocking the Blessings of Fire skill allows you to deal even more damage with each blade of flame.
However, if this does not suit your playstyle, you can always rely on the Kagura Dance or Divine Dance of this sacred treasure if you're in need of fire damage.

In the Rune Factory series, VIT or vitality affects both your Defense and M. Defense, making it a good stat to invest in if you're struggling with battles.
If you use weapons that make use of your ATK stat, STR is also a good stat to improve through the Sacred Sword Skill Tree. However, if you prefer using Talismans and other magic weapons, STR is unnecessary.

How to Get the Sacred Sword
Go to Summer Village
You can obtain the Sacred Sword by following the main quest in the Summer Village. After completing Info on the God of Summer, you will be asked to rest. While resting, the god of summer will bestow upon you the Sacred Sword.
The Sacred Sword will then be equipable from your sacred treasures wheel when you wake up.
