This is a list of the best weapons to use in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (RFGoA). Read on to learn the best starting weapon as well as the best ones to use as you progress through the story!
List of Contents
Dull Sword
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +5 |
The Dull Sword, which is your first weapon in the game, is the best weapon to use early on. Although the weapon does not have a high stat bonus, you only need a few Iron ores to upgrade the weapon.
Short Swords like the Dull Sword are also easy to use, and you can progress up until the Summer Village story with this weapon.
Matsuri Hanabi
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +100 Element: Fire |
Once you progress through the story, you can use the Matsuri Hanabi as your next weapon. This Long Sword has the highest ATK bonus of all the weapons you can get at this stage, can dish out fire damage like the Sacred Sword, and can be used up until the end of the Winter Village story.
You will get Matsuri Hanabi once you are able to include Matsuri in your party, which is unlocked once you reach Bond Level 2 with her.
Boar Cleaver
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +303 |
Fire Wisp Fangs
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +238 Element: Fire |
Kingfisher Bow
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +264 Element: Water |
Talismans of Fissures
|

Tamahagane Sword
|
Weapon Stats: ATK ++289 |
Once you push through the story and want more damage output than Matsuri Hanabi, you can craft the weapons from the recipes you can obtain in the Forgotten Grove.
Simply interact with the Wayside Shrines in the area to get the recipes for these weapons.

Amethyst Bolt Axe
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +870 Element: Wind |
Once you reach the halfway point in the game, after completing the initial stories in the villages, you can use Kai's Amethyst Bolt Axe and take advantage of its +870 ATK bonus.
Even without upgrades, it can easily defeat tougher enemies, but do note that this is a Long Sword weapon which loses quick attacks for high damage.
You can get this weapon once you reach Bond Level 2 with Kai and can include him in your party.
Arcane Light Talismans
|
Weapon Stats: M.ATK +746 Element: Light |
The Arcane Light Talisman is an effective weapon against the boss King Ura in the Underworld. This boss is weak against Light, so you can use this long-range Talisman to deal damage from a distance.
Falcon Bow
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +1054 Element: Wind |
Most flying enemies have a weakness to Wind, so the Falcon bow can help you in knocking down enemies quicker in the midgame with an ATK +1054 Wind damage bonus.
Raging Flame
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +1369 Element: Fire |
Progressing past the Heavenly Realm, you will come across the Raging Flames in a Wayside Shrine in the Fleeting Flower Village. Raging Flames is infused with Fire damage, and does a mighty ATK +1369, which will help you in facing off against the boss of Fleeting Flower Village, who is weak against Fire.
This weapon will also help you in other Holy Shrines, since most of the horde enemies tend to be weak against fire.
Aureate Cutlass
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +2149 Element: Light |
You can unlock the Aureate Cutlass at a Wayshrine in the Rakshaka Gorge, which is a dungeon you will visit after completing the Holy Shrines. The Aureate Cutlass can deal ATK +2149 in Light damage bonus.
This weapon will be very helpful for the next dungeon, which will take you back to the Underworld where you will face off against a lot of enemies with Light damage weakness.
Eternal Bloom
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +2509 Element: Earth |
Holy Split Sea Talismans
|
Weapon Stats: M.ATK +2258 Element: Water |
Izuna Blades
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +2204 Element: Wind |
Oni Nata
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +2571 |
Yatagarasu Bow
|
Weapon Stats: ATK +2449 Element: Fire |
The Underground Rear Approach is one of the last few dungeons of the main storyline quests. The weapons found in the Wayside Shrines of this area all deal 2000+ damage, and will help you in facing against the hordes of monsters in the final dungeon of the game.
