Players can customize the outfits of the characters in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (RFGoA). Learn if there is character customization and how to change outfits here!

Is There Character Customization?
Yes, But Only for Gender and Outfits
At the start of the game, players can select the gender of their character by choosing between Subaru (Male) or Kaguya (Female). They can also customize the outfits of the player character and the villagers.
Outside of the two, there are no other aspects of the game that can be customized.

How to Change Outfits
Equip Gear
Each character has a default set of gear. Once players equip a different gear on a character, the character's appearance will change.
Can Toggle Appearance
The Appearance option lets players adjust the look of their equipment without changing the parameters or effects of what they've equipped.
Use the Wardrobe
Players can also change a character's outfit using the Wardrobe in the Dragon Shrine.
Can You Change Gender?
Only at the Start
Players can only select their character's gender at the start of the game. Once the story begins, they won't be able to change genders anymore.
You Can Marry the Same Gender
Regardless of which protagonist players have chosen, their character can marry any of the bachelor and bachelorettes, even the same gender.
